I think Justin told me 146, but I forgot to write it down and now I don’t remember… I think there are 6 chassis in front of me and you are one of them. |

Hay cameron8757,
Can you get a pick of the nose cone are on the trany? I am thinking about putting an AJ shifter in and I am trying to figure out if I will have enough room. It seems that the AJ will have a nosecone that is about 3” longer. Here is a pick of one, from Robseg… This post has been edited by Sick Dayz: May 6 2007, 02:03 PM |

looks like Justin changed the shock mounts on the front from the prototype, if I remember correctly they were on the outside of the bar, now they are toward the inside, makes it look cleaner.
Nice ride, I am sure you will be very happy with it. |

QUOTE(Toy Collector @ May 8 2007, 07:12 AM) Wondering why you went with air shocks? It is not my car but he picked the shocks in part due to what I said to run so here ya go. Older air shocks have a bad wrap. The newer ones in the 2.5" diam are the same internally as a 2.5 coil over. The benefits to an air shock are: lighter, cheaper, way more of a bump stage than a coil over. The negatives are: sensitivity to heat changing ride quality. Since it is pretty much impossible to over heat a shock in the dunes especially with a bypass next to it, the only negative is not an issue. Now if you were off roading the car, pre running or racing I would not run an air shock but switch to a coil over. This is a bit of a Ford or Chevy thing and both are fine with me and I will run either in this car without a problem but I like to taylor the parts to the application. It think that people's opinions will be the hardest thing to change with this system but once you ride in one that is set up properly you may be a believer. If not then put coils on it, either way, it works. Justin |
