Nard to tell, but looks like a TOW missile.. I was a TOW gunner in the USMC.. We got to eff up lots of tanks..
 The best is when their turrets fly through the air.. Gotta hit em just right to see that.. |

TOW..
Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided. you keep your cross hairs on the target - target go BOOM!!!! Its a 60+ lbs missile thats very mobile and has normal scopes, infrared, and Thermal sights.. While I was in, the range was 2.6 miles if memory serves me correct.. Tankers hated us and claimed they would kick our butts, but in field ops, we always won.. Since the first Desert Storm, they still use the TOW from ground troops, vehicles, small jeeps, and Helos.. But nothing compares to a Cobra loaded up with HellFire Missiles.. they are laser marked missiles that will ruin anyones day.. |

Please drive through.. Air - looks like a remote tank for testing.. jwfab1 - worst one, old stock.. missile took off and went straight up.. Shooter cut commands which mean the missile follows its last que.. We all ran and ducked under any truck, vehicle we could find.. It popped off a few miles out.. That was the last time they allowed TOWs fired at Camp Pendelton.. |

For any of you still in my buddies son fly's a Cobra. He is top rate. The last I was told he was instrumental in rewriting the flight/operations manual for it.
His name is Evert Good. He has some real "killer" stories.  |
