Anything out of the ordinary??? Street Bike Motors? Turbo setups? Did you guys race the hill? Whish I was thier. Yes, lots of nice rides, other side by sides like prowlers and rangers showed up too. Todd from TCB had a very nice rhino that I heard was supercharged on nitrous and could easily do 80mph out in the dunes. I didnt catch view of any street bike motor rhinos or side by sides. I think there was a Prowler with a turbo there. We all just gathered at Olds Hill, the Boat Guy was a no show. No one raced each other up the hill, just different people made attempts to run the hill. I can tell you that from all the wind the hill was *very* soft and hard to climb. Normally I make it up no prob, it took me a 2nd attempt to make it up. The dune run after the gathering at Olds was fun, although a lot of people got left behind because they werent ready when the group pulled away. I didnt go all the way with them to China Wall, so I am not sure how that worked out. I went back to the jump behind Olds to take some pics like this ![]() ![]()

I was the only rhino jumping this jump, i think it was before all these rails and trucks started jumping but it was pretty cool, a pretty harsh landing though. |

Oh I was so tempted to jump but after seeing some idiots on dirt bikes and quads going down the same direction as people were jumping I decided that the potential danger wasnt worth the brief glory.
What color is your Rhino, I might have a picture of it jumping. |

I think I was the first " OUCH " of the ride !!
After leaving the meeting spot (nice gathering ) and going past venders row ( got a lot of looks and finger pointing from people as the giant heard went by ). Just got into the small hills past the flats and my left rear tire came OFF !!!! I mean rolled away !!!!!!!!! I think somebody took some sample lug nuts during the night .......... The others behind me all came to help ( THANKS GUYS ) . Had a group helping me in seconds .. bringing me the tire, helping lift the rhino . putting on spare tire I carry ( Had extra lugs in tool box ). Thanks again guys . I made it to Olds. a little later , missed out on some of the picture taking . Did not have any trouble finding the heard at Olds. , largest group there !!!!!!! My Rhino was the one painted chevy silver , Alum. side panels , spare tire carrier in bed |

I didnt see the tire though anywhere, but I did see a people come in to the rescue. |

Great pics Mr. Offroad! Thanks! It was a great turnout, over 60 Rhinos for sure, possible more as a bunch joined at Olds after I counted. I'm still at Glamis so I probably won't get my pics uploaded until tomorrow. It was so hard to keep the group together, just too many vehicles to keep track of. Sorry to anyone we lost but it was just hectic. When all was said and done I think we only had one rollover. The guys were fine but the Rhino broke the left-front suspension off. We ended up with only 6 Rhinos out of all of those that actually tried to make it to China Wall, but after we heard of the rollover we went back and I stayed to help, putting an end to the ride. It was a blast though. Mikey and his Gecko friends sure know how to have fun in a Rhino! My kind of driving for sure. We were haulin' ass, 3-wide in the turns and bowls, swappin' spots, just having a blast. You guys rock!
Ok so everyone is waiting for it so I'll just say it.......... There were no, as in zero, 686 kits that decided to dune with the front runners. Not sure why, was looking forward to seeing those guys haul ass. Only two long-travel Rhinos decided to try to run up front, but in the end it was 5 standard travels and one long-travel. What happened guys? I was expecting a spanking and looking forward to seeing some cool and fast Rhinos. Anyway, the fire outside here at camp in Glamis is calling my name. I'll post some pics tomorrow. |

Had a couple of the guys from our camp on their bikes spotting the jump for me so it made it safe for me. |

King Glamis, Thanks for the help on Sat.! Just thought I'd let you know we got out of those BIG dunes about 2 hrs later. We ended up pulling out the axle and setting the axle and spindle on top of the frame. We left the break line still hooked up because we didn't have any sockets to get the caliper off. We put it in All wheel lock and had 3 wheels. To make a long story short- we ended up driving it all the way back to camp on three wheels but not before we rolled again trying to get out of those big dunes. Nobody was hurt on that roll either. Here are some pics of the 2nd roll. THANKS AGAIN GK and ALL the other guys that helped when this happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
