Yesterday I used my cooler rack as wheelie bars for my rhino as my aluminum ramps disentigrated.

Any opinions on the best and strongest ramps to get these beasts up into the bed of a truck?

Thanks

Well you need at least a 1,000 pound rating IMO.

Sears has several styles which are heavy duty. You can choose from aluminum or steel the steel ones are rated higher but very heavy.

I like overkill in loading ramps as far as rating. Why! because I do not like my ride rolling off the ramp if one collapses and your lucky you did not get hurt in your case.

One other caveat is if you have a lifted truck---very steep loading angle----your gonna have problems. Find a bank or some other decline to load your ride.

Oxlite has a 1500lbs aluminum set of ramps delivered to your door for $169.00 with 5 year guarantee. My personal choice.

Do some shopping there are a lot of choices but get the highest rated one per your budget.

We use and sell the Better Built ramps... They have upto a 8" ramp... Or you could always make your own like this guy bugsy2.gif

The ramps I used were suppose to be rated at 1500 lbs, but the alumimun sheared like someone tearing a piece of paper.

Crip - didn't even know that HD had ramps. Have to check that out. I don't know about backing up. I have a F350 4x4. Not lifted, but its up there.

SDHQ - Picture cracks me up. Knowing me if I tried that I be rolling through that glass window.

BTW, I did see a pair on EBAY, 17 1/2 wide for each runner with a weight rating of 3000 lbs. That should handle my fat a**, 4 seater and whatever.

Thanks guys!!!

I bought mine from Lowes Hardware. I think they were $75 a piece and they are rated for 1500lbs per ramp.
