Is anybody using these and are they a pretty good shock? I know theyre very popular in the rail world, but am not familiar with them on the Rhino's. There seems to be lot's of people selling them now!

IMO, King Shocks work very well, as do most shocks when sprung and valved correctly for your particular set up and type of use.(2 seat/4 seat; dune riding/crawling; short course/dezert; and overall weight)
The manufacturer of the suspension you are using should be able to get you in the ball park with valving and spring rates for their kit and your ride. Then it would be up to you to fine tune it to your liking. Good Luck!!

I have heard to stay away from the Kings when it comes to the Rhino ........ This is for stock replacement shocks only ...... I have not heard anything bad when it comes to an LT Kit and the Kings .....
If you want stock replacment shocks for the Rhino then get Walker Evans or Bilsteins .....

I have seen Bilstein's, on stock arms, work very well. Alot of time was spent testing on this particular rhino, and it was impressive to see how well the Bilstein's performed when dialed in. I have also heard that Kings on stock arms didn't work very well, but I would think it was because of incorrect valving, not that it is a bad shock.

I have KIngs with my long travel setup, and they were crappy as hell, til I went to KING with my rhino, and they set me up great! Cost me $710 to re-valve, dual rate springs, the collars for that, etc, but so worth it! I race, and it made the night and day difference for them to re-work the shock. I don't get all off camber in the air anymore. No more bucking. They set the rebound, compression, combined spring rate, pressure, spring length, and all is good!!!!
As for the out of the box replacements for stock rhinos, all I have to say is CHAD fromt he Funco Sand cars won every race and was hucking over the 60ft table with no other mods other than a cdi, and was landing perfectly! Obviously a lil rougher than long travel, but did too good! Here's a pic!

we just put them on our long travel kit for a customer , he went to glamis and said it was great, but the back was a little stiff , they gave us 4 seater rear springs, so we will go to a 50lb lighter spring.since he has a 2 seater. we will keep you all posted of how dialed we can get them. xxx rhinosports

Ding ding ding. Christian hit the nail on the head speaking of Chad. Chad and King had an unforgetable day at the races a week ago.

Dude, that kid was huckin' over that 60 footer... Look at him rip!!!! Seemed like a rough ride going over stuff when he'd stuff into the next jump and keep on truckin' to keep his position, but he was practically lapping the guy in 2nd place! lol.... I asked him how he took to all the 'getting tossed around', and he said something like 'either I win or lose, I prefer to win!", and that was his 1st time racing ever! Anyone know where some of the media is going from those races?? I seen Chad and Todd Arthur getting interviewed, but for what???? I saw Heather was in the mix doing the interviewing with a mic in her hand, but I better get the memo when that race is on video, you tube, TV, satellite, whatever... Somebody let me know! lol

I guess if I didn't have KING SHOCKS so close to my shop, I'd be looking for a different "out of the box" shock to avoid frustration of trying to dial them in, but mine kick azz now!
