Wow, this was my first trip to dunes in 2 years and in a new rail. My 2 seater buick v6 has had a broken tranny and in the shop now. Just got a 4 seat 2276 N/A. First time out in this rail and was suprised on how many witches eyes there were aroung the Patton hill area. What really made it hard is I am used to all the low end power you want in any gear but not quite the case with the vw 2276. Had to keep it rev'd up and dune a little faster than wanted to yet miss all the danger. Already thinking about moving the v6 to new rail or side draft turbo.

I actually havn't been out this year yet , soon though! However I seen in another thread where people were saying the same thing about conditions in Glamis. It is scary when there are tons of witches eyes hiding, waiting to try to hurt you.

I think Buttercup ranks #1 in witches eyes in the whole ISDRA.Patton Valley is usually not as bad.

VW engines typically don't like big cars. A 6 cylinder engine would be the smallest I'd put in almost any 4 seater. Although adding a turbo will help.
