We had some hereos in the Side X Side forum this month. I'd like to nominate:
Mikef - Mike Farrar
Eat Dirt - Ron Simler
Brownrhino - Oscar Acosta
These guys were on an outing and Jesus Barragan, one in their group, tipped his Rhino over and almost severed his foot. They all kept their cool and got the situation under control. This included calming Jesus' 7 and 10 year old kids. They arranged major medical attention and getting the Barragan truck, trailer and Rhino back home.
The story is still unfolding and updates on Jesus are still coming in. You can follow it here:

I would like to nominate Vicki aka AFamilyof4 for March Duner of the Month. Vicki and her son Christopher (age 10) flew to Sacramento on March 18th (on their own dime) to join the California League of Off Road Voters (CLORV) 13th Annual Lobby Day at the State Capitol on March 19th. Their mission was to educate their newly elected legislators, especially the ones who have never served in the Senate or Assembly before, about the importance of off road recreation in California. Vicki's passion for preserving our way of life is completely infectious and I have no doubt she met LOTS of important people (despite not know anyone before she got there) and you can bet she will be in touch with every one of them making sure that off-roaders are well represented in our state government. This is from her post about her experience.
"Well what an adventure. I'm hooked. Where else can I talk about my passion to people who make the laws but face to face. Some might not listen, some might actually remember what I said but they'll always remember talking to me. I would do it all over again, tomorrow if need be.
My son Christopher, he made good friends yesterday with Daphne Greene, the deputy director of our Green Sticker Program She'll be turning to him to talk about education and what his opinion is from a youth's perspective.
Next year my friends, it's a road trip. It would be so darn cool to surround the capitol with our rigs! Long way off but such a worthy cause."
Way to go Vicki, I am so proud of you!!!

Tres,
for Tres's 70 Regatta. For all the time and effort, lining up sponsors, building a track, organizing everything. He puts a heck of a lot into this event for us. and on top of everything else, he gives the winning trophy away.

style points right there.
