Wanted to thank onanysunday for leading the two fastest dune runs I've ever been on! Was great to meet you & your family. It was awesome to see the Funco slide around at those speeds. thumb.gif Aways picked good lines & a very attentive leader. Thanks for letting me tag along.

Also met Saint who was on the second dune run with us. At the end went to the hill to chill & watch the racers. On one of them Saint had one of the coolest runs I 've seen. Got a late start with a guy but got on it & had a mini wheelie going from well before the lip, through the whoops till mid hill & pulled the guy by two lengths. No doubt, the car is fast! Went by your camp late this morn but your rig was gone.

Also met azsandrider I believe so it was a a GD.com themed weekend! It was great duning with you guys & hope to meet up again in the future. I wish I would of took some pics of the cars together but I wasn't thinking. coocoo.gif Heres one of me "trying" to jump the powerline by our camp. icon_biggrin.gif

had a great time w/ everybody this last weekend. perfect way to end the season!! bdance.gif

cracks me up how damn far you gusy camp haha. i remeber seeing you before we met up and saying to my passangers in teh car that that guy might as well camp halfway up competition hill haha! at least if i see anybody camping out there i will know exactly who it is!

Kurtis is a badass mofo when it comes to pickin lines and running fas. my arms feel like wet noodles after two days of trying to keep up with him and noo power steering with my huge front tires.

and it was awesome to run teh hill with that guy. i may have been faster but he was definatly putting on the best show. he was full throttle launching off the top of the hill when i would just shut it down about 3/4th of the way up. couple screws loose crazy but it looked awesome haha. That girl that was riding shotgun with me is awesome, effing fearless. She was loving the wheelies up the hill.

seems like i remember something about u causing a guy on a quad to crash haha!!

LeRoy,
It was great to meet you also. We camp with Jerry Seaver quite a bit and I love to follow him and the Pilots through the dunes. But of course they only go so fast and it is fun to let the Horses loose. For me this was one of the best trips of the season. Wife, kids, friends, and some great dunin. Doesnt get any better.
Learned some new things this trip like my daughter doesnt get sick anymore with the right mix of dramamine, ginger pills, and no helmet slap.jpg 25bangin.gif . Also like a doughhead I discovered my map on the GPS to see where the border is and not cross it. Case I now have a great story to tell. Back in the day we went on a run so hard it almost blew the wheels off rotf.gif

BTW: End the season??
What about those summer runs?

Ya our camp spot is a little different. Been going up there since I've had a 4x4(10+ years). Keeps us away from riff raff or maybe we're the riff raff dunno.gif but less neighbors the better in my book.

I went to school with that guy & he has been going out for years. Impressive driving but the blind launching at the top is uncalled for in my book. You tried to do a solid & spot for him then he wouldn't do it again. bugsy2.gif Hopefully he'll never land on me or anyone else. Once again though that one hill run was something else, never seen anything like it. thumb.gif Your passenger liked it once she got done vomit.gif J/K my buddy who's a Marine(inactive) got sick after 5 minutes let alone the 26 mile speed coaster run we had just made. 1dude.gif

I know your just giving me a hard time but as for the quad I cannot control how closely people follow me. I was just following your guys lines doing my thing...

How dare you use my name on a public board!!! J/K icon_biggrin.gif

You said it was your best trip of the season but I cannot remember having a better time than this past weekend ever! Have had alot of fun over the years but the big HP LT kicks it up a couple levels. 25cheers.gif I am going to G this weekend to have the suspention dialed & I know that will kick the fun factor up that much more.

When we have more time I'd like to jump in with all those Pilots with mine as you just don't see that many like you used too. Mine was running good this weekend but something electrical is messed up & not so good now. One more thing to try to get worked out...

Thanks again for leading such awesome runs & I'm with you I'd love to go out for some summer night virgin sand dune trips! peace.gif

Read about it in the other thread, glad you caught it before it fell off. This explains why you had already pulled out that Sun morn. A full speed drag run or the 75+ mph passes we made around that bowl would not be a good time for it to fail. Hopefully a new wheel & studs & you will be golden. peace.gif

About 5 years ago Kayla and I had a stub break on the Sand Limo. Wheel, hub, caliper flew off at around 40 mph. Luckily we were in a flat transition area and just pitched the car hard sideways. If we were in a bowl it could have been much worse. 5 hours to drive to ORBS, buy a new stub and change it all out.

Sound sliek you got lucky just like i did. That tire of mine could have come off when i was racing leroys buddy up the hill with alicia riding shotgun, or i could have not noticed it and been running the drags with a full car of people. Luck was definatly on my side this last time.

it was a bummer the car was done but we got some good runs in so it wasnt too much of a let down. my brothers 450 lost the master link on the chain, annd then the tire probs on our car so we figured we would get an early start for teh trip home.

wish some1 would have caught me and ur buddies hill runs on film cause i definatly knew it had to of looked cool. our two big cars blasting through the whoops w/out even thinking of slowing down for'em and then ur buddy jumping up and down teh hill. amazing stuff. I saw him later at the drags loading up his car on a trailer liek he broke it. hear anything about that?

you gonna be getting in on some of our helacious summer morning runs?? sleep deprivation good times, oh yea!

Oh ya, and teh quad crash, definatly not ur fault. That dude just zigged when he should'a zagged haha!
