I was wondering if any of you guys have ever clocked your speed up Olds. What is the average speed most stock sport quads go up the hill at?

Well the fastest hill shooter at glamis thanksgiving was about 85mph(approx)
I clocked people with my radar gun like a stock banshee is about 42ish
ported 4mm stroker stock frame big carbs and dialed in is about 68ish
4-trax with pipe and carb mild port job is about 40ish.

Really suprising huh..... I thought I was going alot faster too then I bought a $1700 radar gun and was very dissappointed.

I hit about 73ish on my banshee

During the four stroke wars, I was parked next to a cat who had a radar gun. I was also disapointed to see the MPH were between 33-45 for most quads running the hill. The Curtis Sparks Raptor and the alcohol burning 465EX were the fastest four stroke quads. These were in the 50MPH+ range. The fastest I saw was the Black Raptor from Sparks hitting a top speed of 57MPH.

The fastest quad of the day to my eyes was the Red Banshee that has a female rider. According to the radar gun she was up to 82MPH up the hill. I was shocked and started to question the accuracy of his gun after her run. :burn:

Not sure exactly how fast, but Bohicas new buggy must been hittin an easy 50 as I was shifting from 3rd to 4th in the whoops.. and still had plenty to go..

Not me i shift from 4rd to 3rd on my blaster and make it up in the top of 3rd

well, at the night ride last year, when there was all them guys from az with the lights an stuff, the fastest bike we saw that night go up the hill was a polaris scrambler, it ran soemthing like 79 mph on radar.

Yes that is " BansheeChick" from ohton Racing..
She runs like a almost 600cc motor If I remember right
It takes a huge amount of motor once you get to a certain speed to go a little faster.
Usually she runs about 87ish must of been a little off that night eithier weather jetting maybe for the methanol / nitro mix. Or it could of been loose sand conditions which means no traction!

The sand was really loose from everyone running the same slope during the races. So the gun was pretty accurate then. That thing rips! :burn:

the guy said it was fully ported(they are 2 strokes you know) high compression, also ran on methanol. guy said it goes faster but they were playing with the new clutch they designed. pretty impressive to watch someone on a heavily modded one going backwards beat someone up olds

Well KG and I have gone about 57mph up Olds, in the buggy, according to GPS. Now of course that was before the powdercoat...which everyone knows adds at LEAST 100 HP. :shock: This season, with the new tranny and all, we plan on pulling WHEELIES :burn: :cheese: all the way up Olds @ 60mph!!! Look out Robbie Gordon! :dis: :burn:

you know...may make me sound like a typical pig...but the best part about watching her is those fake boobs in the sports bra! she's got a great body, and a great bike to match it! but i do beg to difffer....she wasnt the fastest bike at 4 stroke wars....i do believe Harry McDermott from trinity racing what there, on a customer owned 540cc POWERVALVE! banshee that was 120HP and running in the mid 90's...he raced her a few times and beat her by like 10 bikes. shes super fast...but this other shee was superfaster ....LOL! i just noticed...thats me on the far right in the shift gear in the photo of her

according to my gps i hit a whopping 37 mph up olds on a stock 01 raptor....but with the 686 kit and 02 tranny......ill get back to ya :burn:

You have your X's and R's mixed up, big difference between the two. That was a 250X. And as I remember when Kenny rode the blaster he beat the 250X and when he rode the 250X he beat the blaster. But my memory does not get better with time. :wink:

Ok ok, the Blaster did have a little more on top. The 250X MAY have had a slight edge on the bottom end but the Blater definitely has more top end. HOWEVER, if traction were an issue, the 4 stroke 250X could take the Blaster on a shorter run. Wasn't that 250X TOTALLY stock? Like, stock tires, stock filter, stock pipe etc. etc.? I'm pretty sure it was when we raced. And your Blaster has ALL THOSE MODS, eh?

Yeah the 250x was totally stock, the only mods on mine was filter, pipes, and oil block off Now i got a reed spacer and boysen power reeds, and 6 inches wider in the rear Mine would definently beat the 250x up olds, i went up olds in the top of 3rd :dis: Have u seen my quad now? :? I painted it

With the paint it does look much better than the day we brought it home. Those are the same colors I am using for the buggy when it gets done, which at this pace I will need seats for my great grand children.
