I know this isn't a quad thing, but I didn't now where else to post it. I have a 250sx that's been in storage for most of the summer, I took it out this last weekend and I didn't notice till I rolled it around a bit that the front left shock was leaking oil. It's been pretty hot, and where it was stored it was easily in the hundreds, could pressure have built up causing the shock to leak? Or do you think a seal is blown or warped? What would you suggest? Any advice I'd appreciate. Thanks.

where is it leaking, if its been sitting in the heat the sun could of cracked the seals they might need replaced. How long ago were the seals replaced?

I bought it last season, the guy I bought it from said he just replaced one of the seals on the fork. I don't know if it's the same one that's leaking now. It was indoors not out in the sun. But it was indoors in a Hot Area. It was in a Shed in the Desert.

I think the 250sx was built in the early 80's so that seals are pretty old. If not used they will dry out and leak, nothing you can do about that. You can do one of two things. One is buy a seal kit and replace the seals yourself if you feel confident enough to do it yourself or send the fork out to a shop for repair.
Oh and Kev if you look on the main page, QUAD TECH is for everything 4 and 3 wheeled so you came to the right place.

I'm going to call the shop today to find pricing on what it would cost to have that done. Thank you for your suggestions and advice. :whoa:
