Havent heard of anything yet but i saw some movies on the web of it going up cherry choke hill and it flew up the hill. :shock:

i have one it is a rocket ship , my buddy and both have raptors
with pipes ,jet kits. air cleaner mod the stock yfz blew by them like they were standing still , :eww:

My bud just bought one. I have a raptor with an aftermarket exhaust and some re-jetting. The new yami in stock shape stays right behind the raptor by a few feet. The 450 has a lot of balls in the engine department.

It has weak a-arms though. He rode in San Felipe and already bent the a-arms. I guess it is not meant for really rough terrains, but then again, which quad is when in stock form?

He already upgraded the a-arms with thicker, and heavier chromolly.
It only added a few more pounds to the overall weight, but now it can soak the hard bumps.

I guess with an aftermarket pipe, it will smoke my raptor!! Not by much though.

Yeah ive seen some pics of bent arms on them. They probably thaugth to much of weight and didnt pay atention to riding styles.

The upper A arms are aluminum, lower are steel. Many great things about the bike, the a-arms are the only bad thing that has come out - as far as I know, and everyone says it is quick and the suspension is great. I'm waiting on the Honda though before I buy another quad.

Are you talking about the YZ450F or the YZF450?The difference is two wheels.

Be that this is the Quad forum and they are talking about A-arms, I 'm guessing the one with an extra two wheels. :cheese:

Crypto bought one. It's really nice right out of the box. Has some good power for a stock bike and the suspension was nice. It's a good bike.

Well I bought 1 on Thursday night before leaving for Pismo!

BTW: Pismo sure is choppy

With No Paddles (and that Pismo sand is SOFT)

Raced Banshees,Raptors,DS650's (No Predators I think they were hiding LOL)All above Minimum Piped, Jetted and Paddles some had more mods

Mostly It either Beat em or was within a 1/2 Bike (It really comes on in the Top End) The Power feels Closer too a 2 Stroke than 4

Well 1 Guy beat me by say 2 bikes (all stock except paddles) and I was like no way how did that Raptor do that, then I realized it was another 450 LOL.

Jumping Wise it was very Nice

It did everything very good!!!! IMHO Best Bike out there for all around Performance!!!! :beer:

Your not lying about pismo being choppy, I went last month and I'm still shaking. Shook every bolt on my quad loose and even lost a few. At night the first 450 I saw was out at the drags spanking everything and it was bone stock. I've been checking them out but I want to see what Honda has to offer before I drop 8 grand.

i rode cryptos bike and it has a ton of power, nothing really down low, but top end is impressive, its definatly choked down, just like the predator, the only other thing about it i noticed is its to narrow. put some +2 or 3 a-arms get it to max racing width and you got something there
