Saw this today @ GW along third base about 1/2 mile in. Anyone missing a motorhome? There were burned tiedowns and MX boots but no vehicles other than that.

Some friends were out there when it happened. They heard water heater troubles, but late on the payments is always possible.

we were out there when it was on fire wed. the 11th. we were camped about 1/2 mile away and the wind was wicked strong that night. we saw the flames and thought "who the hell is starting a campfire in this wind?". then the flames were HUGE. we suspected a vehicle fire and then saw alot of red flashing lights. none of us wanted to venture out to investigate. we saw the carnage the next morning and talked to others in that camp. as mentioned, they said it started in the water-heater area. it was an 84' moho so who knows!!
there was a banshee that was parked near it that was pretty well scorched too! i assumed they couldn't get close enough to pull it away. i was also wondering "who's gonna clean this up?". i can imagine the frustration and despair the owner might be feeling, but they should at least ask their friends to help with the clean-up. maybe i'm way off with that thinking! ?????

Nah! it's melted a little. Click on the pic and zoom in. You can see the yellow top part is melted. Maybe they tried to pull the batteries and propane tank out before the fire got to it. it is weird how the whole battery isn't melted though.
