I know this isn't halloween, but this weekend is good for our schedule. Blaze,SoCalSalt,Sandcousin,jpraptor,dunnin,cdiddy,jasonh. Does this sound good to you guys.

Would love to meet up with you guys again...but I won't know my schedule until about a week before

Now that I can fit paddles on the Manx and know it's dunable I've got a backup in case the rail isn't ready by then. But if the rail isn't ready by then I'll probably be thrashing to get it ready for the poker run the week after

What is the poker run? Sounds like fun.

Poker Run is a blast. It's an annual event on Halloween weekend put on by the R&R Duners club:

Basically you meet at Boardmanville to get your card then go out to the checkpoints. Each checkpoint you get a stamp for the card you pull and can get a bonus card for answering a question. Then everyone meets up at Boardmanville and the best hands win prizes.

All money raised goes to groups like the ASA and CORVA who are fighting to keep the dunes open, they raised over $12,000 last year and it was only the second year they did the poker run.

about the 24th i'm sure i cant let you go without me.the little lady has a baby shower that weekend so i may bring my neighbor that just bought a raptor a couple weeks ago.he hasnt ever had it in the dunes.i'm sure he will be addicted like the rest of us.

Poker run ends up taking a good chunk of the day. It starts at like 7AM I think and the prizes start at like 3PM.

You could probably do it in a street vehicle. The checkpoints the past few years were (Vendor Flats, Boardmanville, Olds, Comp and China wall.) Since you can get two stamps at each if you answer the question right you could do Vendor, Boardmanville and comp with questions to get enough stamps for a hand.

Like I said I probably won't know until a day or two before. I'm definately going to make the poker run...but that means if the rail isn't finished on the 24th I'll be thrashing in the garage to have it ready for the Poker Run.

The Manx is ready to go any time, I've been driving it as my daily driver for almost a month now and it's first trip to the sand it did much better than I expected.

But for the Poker run I've already given my GF permission to drive the Manx that weekend while I'm in my rail.....so I HAVE to have the rail back together by then

It's not a matter of having a vehicle ready - it's a matter of having time if I'm still wrenching on the rail.

But I really want the rail done the weekend before that since it's my business partners birthday and we normally use that as an excuse for a first dune trip of the season. So it will probably be $$$$ that decided if I can come out on the 24th and what I can bring.

I'll just keep checking in and will know when it gets closer

Going for Halloween with the family for sure but may be able to swing a boys trip the weekend before as well. I'll get to work on that one.

i just put my pipe on.i could feel a little difference but there is only so much throttle you can give on the pavement.instant hook up!i need to get the paddles on and put it in the sand soon and test it out.i may have to dial it in a little more.whenever anyone is ready,i want to go.

If we go earler I would be able to see if I'll have any problem's with might lights and be able to fix them before halloween? we can definately use my trailer anytime but this saturday.its getting a little work done on it.damage from the bombing it days.gotta love ragin's warranty servive.they come to you and fix it without any resistance.
if you want to go the whole weekend before halloween we can combine our toys.for an overnighter we probably dont need my trailer but we can use it if we want.its no hassle just a little more gas.
my pipe is quiet.really not that much louder than the stock minus baffle.it is a little more responsive than stock minus baffle.it definately would make a more dramatic difference going full stock to yoshi but in steps its not that crazy of a difference.i bet the sprockets make more of a difference on the hills.

C-diddy- either or, it doesn't matter to me, if we take the your trailer or my small one? I think 2 weekend's before halloween the 18-19 might work out better for me. If you can't go than the weekend before will have to do. I might have to change my weekend with my son. I don't think it would be a problem. My truck suck's the GAS UP anyway's. So do you want to go incomfort or sleep in the truck, your call. What time,and day do you want to leave? i think i can go either weekend.if the 18th works for you then thats just less time to wait.i can drive anytime.its just a little more slow up hills and risky in the sand.i hope it cools down a little.i was at brocks for dove opening day and it was plenty warm. >:<

little daddy did good but i had to show off a little.i had my limit by about 8am or so.i took a break and came back to help the others fill their bag.we all did good and had fun.we may go next weekend for the morning shoot.

My wife and I are planning on going out the weekend of the 24th. There will be a few others in our group as well. Our plan is to camp at Ogilby.

Where is everyone else camping? Maybe we can hook up for a ride or two.
