which paddles would be better? 8 or 9 paddle haulers? Opinions please.. I'm thinking of just getting the regular haulers for mine, but I'd like to know which number of paddles would work best.

as always, thanks for your time, fellas
Sandpusher
8 paddles shoud be more than enough unless your primary goal is to race others going up hill.

Remember, with more than 8 paddles you may need to upgrade your clutch system....

stick with the 8 paddle haulers, I had them on my old bike and worked great! With the 9 it`s harder on the motor, it put`s a great load on the motor all the time trying to move them! But some people get away with them!

Yeah, what they said biggrin.gif

I have always run 8 paddles. They'll still be plenty I you decide to have some porting done.
SHOCKER
Yep 8 paddle, unless u decide or know your going to upgrade the engine and drag smile.gif
SAL
uh... could you guys make up your mind?? 8 or 9?? sheeesh!!

HAHAHA... thanks, fellas!!
redandblackonebanshee
get 10 paddles for a little extra
TANK
stock shee motor id do the 8's but if ur gonna port i would do 10's... buddy has a mildy ported shee with 10 paddle haulers and they run very smooth

my 2 cents

I don't know why anyone would use anything over 8 paddles unless there on a full on race bike. Using 9's just lugs down the motor and there's no benefits to using them...

I have been using the hauler 9 paddle for 3 years on a Alba special banshee and have had no problems with abnormal wear on the clutch or lugging on the engine. That might be the reason no one ever wants to follow me biggrin.gif
SHOCKER
U dont need paddles  Just kidin go with 8 biggrin.gif

Sal, I don't have a banshee but I do run 22 X 10 X 10 haulers with 10s and I have had clutch issues. The DS is Heavy and I am not a small guy this may be a contributing factor to the clutch wearing out. But the ability to pull the front end of that bike off the ground with just the tourqe in 2nd and 3rd is worth the hassel of changing a clutch every 2 years. And I have the same problem of no one wanting to follow me. laugh.gif Wrench

Just my 2 cents.....I ran 9 paddle haulers on my banshee and loved them. When I bought mine, I was talkin to a local sand tire guy (Daryl Smith) and he said that the 8 paddle haulers were better for top speed (less overall drag) and the 10 paddle were better fro drag racing (better overall bite), and the 9 paddle were a compromise. That's what I went for, since I love to run the drags, but don't have a DRAG bike. As far what these guys are rappin bout, clutch problems boggin motor...etc, had none of those problems. I loved those haulers, and would recommend them to anybody.

SAL what I mean by "special" is that is the alba with pipes jetting proflow adapter and k&n with outerwear probably the same as you have. The only mods I have done is put the carbon fiber reeds and boost bottle. And the thing that makes the most HP is the 6 PACK RACK       !!!!!
Dunerat
STAY WITH 8 IT WILL MAKE THE CLUTH LAST LONGER
