Instead of taking up space in another thread I wanted to start a new one. Here is the progress of the back yard from when we bought the house to now.

Here is the yard after about 20 hours of work. I removed the two built in planters and all of the rock that was around the pool. I cut down the dead ass citrus tree the I dug out the stump, let me tell you what kind of fun that was.
what hurts?

What are you planning on doing? I need to redo my backyard also. The pool needs work, it's all cement with a block wall. Not to attractive.

well it was a long day but we got a lot done. The irrigation system went in pretty quickly followed by most of the sod. The landscape company messed up the order and only ordered half so the guy stepped up and made sure we had all that we needed today. The pavers look great but I think they will look better when we paint the back wall a darker shade.
My uncle cousin and wifes little brothers came over and laid the cement slab against the house and it looks awsome. They did a great job.

Looking good, keep it up. It'a always better when you do it your self. The fruits of your labor are great.

I hired a guy to do most of the work. I know I am not good at the skilled labor but I can break chit with the best of em! He did a good job and is supposed to be finishing some light stuff today.

breakin stuff is always the fun/easy part, until you break something you werent supposed to.
Yesterday, 2 brand new mirrors broke inside my helpers van on the way to the jobsite...few hundred dollars down the drain, it wasnt my customer, so I dont have to cover the cost, but it was still a major bummer.

it's been a long and extremely over budget road for me too. But hey they give loans to just about anyone right? This took a LOT of phone calls!

I'd put some big shade trees along that back wall. But that's just me.
