For those who believe the official propaganda saying recreation user fees are about funding much needed maintenance of decaying infrastructure, think again. In the words of the Army Corps, here is the true reason for this program:

\"The intent of the program is to encourage private development of public recreation facilities such as: marinas, hotel/motel/restaurant complexes, conference centers, RV camping areas, golf courses, theme parks, and entertainment areas with shops, etc. \"

It occurs to me that the BLM's RAMP is suggesting a "reservation system" at Glamis.

Nope... if you could read some of the stuff I've read.

Demo Fee is the comercialization of Glamis.

Demo Fee is how they will turn Glamis into Disneyland.

I don't know about you, but I don't want no "Souvineer shops" at Glamis.

Look at Pismo. You couldnt get in to Pismo this weekend if your life depended on. Blah blah blah!!! Gotta have a reservation. This would be a load of crap if they did this in Glamis.

According to the RAMP, they're starting with RoadRunner and if that's successful, they'll do it with Buttercup.

Define success? In the eyes of the BLM, anything that brings money in with no hassle.

We need to provide LOTS of hassle.

It's a low-level action item in the business plan so we have some time, but yeah, it's coming.
