I frequent the Blu Inn a lot. Good people and very friendly. But your Uncle really needs to invest in a good cook. I can get better food at the cafeteria at work. And that's not saying much.

Will this park accommodate an RV pulling a 23 foot trailer or just single RVs?
YZ450F_RIDER
May 23 2007, 08:28 AM
yes every spot will be big enough so that you can park your trailer with you and every spot will have full hook ups

whats the rates going to be? are they 30amp or 50amp electrical?
besides the hookups what would convince us to pay rather than camp for free across the street.
Thanks

i think i would rather camp somewhere else due to the traffic that is around that place all the time. plus my dad's friends property off split mt. has hook ups and i can stay there for 10 buck for the whole weekend

Let's go back to talking about hot a$$ wet girls.

IMO, while camping in an rv park at the desert is nice it just doesn't compare to a nice little wagon train circle with the fire pit in the middle
and no one else camped like right next door.

does that mean your uncle is gonna have a new reason to act all ticked off all the time at his customers? I hope this season he chills on his regulars and realizes the guys who would help him out versus screw him....his attitude was great when he took over...until ater the first big weekend and his store got broken into...then he became bitter to say the least....and I quit going to his establishment when he got that way...I don't need rude people..that is why i am in Ocotillo...to escape the city life and commuter attitude...

Was just out at the Blu Inn for breakfast on Sunday morning and I hate to say it but I was noy happy. Somehow my order got bumped and we were waiting for our food for over an hour. They make you pay first so we were stuck. I went in to talk to the person behind the order counter where you have to hang your ticket and he just brushed me off. I was pissed. Was just getting ready to ask for a refund and the waitress brought our food out.. Have been going to the blu inn for years and I tell people to go there instead of the desert rose but the attitude I dot this past weekend turned me off. I was not happy...

We went a couple weeks back and also thought the service went downhill. It took them a while to come take our order and even longer to get drinks to the table. The order and then pay before you get your food thing doesn't work well. I understand why they are doing it but the place is too small for the line it creates inside.
I was one of the BIG supporters of the new owners LAST season....the family with (3) young kids. The service was friendlier and thefood was actually VERY GOOD to us. The owners/mamnagement brfore them was okay too, just very slow. Well, I guess having the (3) kids and trying to run that place was too much so new folks are in this season. I thought they were nice enough but the service was slow and more importantly, the food was barely "just OK". We'll only be going back for ice cream or if we're desperate.

I was down there at the Blu in a few days ago and the service was horrible and so was the food. I'v been going there for years and know alot of people in that area. The owner told us that Carl and Angela(also owners) moved on to other things. Not true. Rumers from people in ocotillo wells say that the Blu in could not afford thiere personal bills as promissed in pre-partnership meetings that it will. They moved back to S.D. to run their other buisinesses to pay bills. They offered to drive down there to manage the Blu in 5 days a week and the Jesters said NO. Now the Jesters are forcing them out of the partnership . The Jesters are also accusing them of stealing and mismanagement. Also not true. The Jesters were in charge of the accounting. Anybody else hear anythig? Maybe yz450f rider knows.

well every thing you guys have heard about the other owners are not true the 2 with the 3 kids were enver the owners they were just the on site workers.....and because they dident have there bills st8t my family ended up paying all there bills with blu in money so they could even stay out there.
they they were stealing from the blu in thats how they bought 2 new trucks.....so dont beleave every thing you hear.....and about the service being slow theres nothing we can do about thet right yet because we have a limited amount of space and we have a small ass grill.....so jus hang ing there and as soon as the rv park ing done we are taking down the blu in and building a full size cafe....parts store and a little maket behind it so the basics.. and a gas station with more pumps and they will be pay at teh pump with a card to make every thing easy......

You may want to tell the owners that running out of gas on a major weekend is probably not good for business
On a good note the guy that does the welding over there kick ass....
Charged me $40.00 to fix a broken exhaust pipe that the guy over at the Desert Rose wanted a minimum of $100.00 to do.
what whoops?

Thanks. I guess I'll look for something else. The fax number seems to work but the phone number says 'disconnected'.
We had stayed at Leapin Lizard T/G 2006, and tried to get reservations for T/G 2007 but they said they were sold out. And we called them opening week!
Does anyone know any other places out there with hookups? I passed a place, on the 78 I think, called Mike's or something like that? We have four family's in our group who don't dry camp very well- loud generator's or 'borrowing electricity'. I'd like to go for Easter so I gottoa get on the reservation list soon.
