Full Version: Which Ls Block Is Best?

Well folks, I think it's time to build a twin turbo LS engine, F-R-E style. icon_biggrin.gif No, no, I'm not going to market them, there's enough turbo engine builders out there to satisfy demand. And as I've said before, I just don't like them for sand rail engines but that's just my personal opinion, nothing more. I had a bad ass Grand National back in the day and I had a lot of fun with it... Now I just want to show you folks what kinda power these Super Zilla ERL blocks can take. And massive amounts of boost and maybe a little nitrous will tell all...

The C5R block is rated at 900 HP. The ERL Super deck block has been successfully tested to 1600 HP!... And I think it can handle more than that. The jury is still out on the Warhawk blocks so I'll skip those for now. The GM LSX block is a cast iron pig so I don't want anything to do with those for a sand rail engine... I'll wait for the aluminum version to come out... icon_biggrin.gif

This will be a long term project that will start when I get into the new shop... I just don't have the room or time right now. And I have one more project that needs developing but I've already started my build sheet for this project... Should be interesting. yay.gif

Till then, 25cheers.gif

What kind of weak sauce are you trying to sell us here, Clay? You need to at least throw in some pics of a few parts whip.gif

Coming from a guy with a big heavy car with a big heavy engine, I find that remark kind of entertaining. icon_biggrin.gif
