Looking for sand tires for an LT 80. Found some Sand Geckos for the back that seem reasonable, but want something for the front. Does anyone run a razor type tire on the front? If so where did you get it? Also is there a better tire than the Sand Gecko?
Thanks,
Don
SHOCKER

I have two 2001 LT 80's. I found 20" mowhawk's at prowlers speed. I think there in Saugus or Valencia not sure they will ship to you. I use a six paddle 18.5" in the rear.

I have skat traks for my kids LT80. However, keep in mind if your rider does not kow how to ride the bike with constant throttle, then you will have issues. My kid was a throttle junkie at first, gas on, gas off, gas on, gas off, while putting around camp. This caused the rollers in the front clutch pack to engage, dis-engage, engage, you get the point. Our second day at pismo of doing this with paddles on caused the clutch to basically melt down. Costed me 90 bones in parts to fix. (200-250 for the dealer to fix) I did it myself, and was quite upset about the failure as the bike was new. I talked with Suzuki, trying to get them to warranty it. The tech guy listens to me, and goes, let me guess....you were running paddles and the operator was gas on, gas off, gas on, etc.. How did you know???
He says it will happen every time...cant do that with these bikes..rider has to be a decent rider, not a learning gas-gas kid....

So, I have a set of skat traks with aluminum rims, 1 trip on them, excellent brand used shape. Paid 175 for. Give me 120 and you can have them...
