Hey everyone,

You don't know me but in the past few days I've been reading and hearing a lot about DuneSafe.com. I really dig it and decided to help if I could. These logos are just a few ideas I put together. I have no idea if you are looking for a new logo or not or if you even care, but when I read the concept and the great ideas put forth thus far I thought maybe it would be nice to have a "strong' logo that matched the "strong" message you are getting out there.
I am a graphic artist and own my own screenprint, embroidery and vinyl graphics business (10 years) and thought I'd mess around a little with some ideas that popped in my head as I read the many topics about the man behind this project and all the good people backing him. It's an awesome idea and one worth backing 100%. I only hope more people jump aboard this project and make it as successful as I think it can be. I am honestly not trying to profit from this in any way...just trying to help. I will not even say the name of my company unless asked. If you would like to use any of these ideas or explore modified versions of them, feel free to PM me and we can discuss. They are free and I will give up all copyright rights to any version you may choose. My only intentions are to create a solid and strong logo to get the message across on any type of medium you would choose to display it on (shirts, hats, banners...etc.) Furthermore, if you need any type of work done that I do, I would gladly help out with "non-profit" pricing in mind.

Take care everyone and keep up the good work. Glamis needs a lot more people like you guys to keep reminding everyone that Offroading is an incredible sport and if we all do just a little bit-it can make a huge difference.

I have to admit I really like the first one. The other 2 powers to be are out of town this weekend. Joe (rivermobster) has obviously seen them and I am sure Robin (The Wife) will see them later today.

Just put it on my truck last week.

I believe that since we already have our logo somewhat established, we will probably keep it. It seems to work. DuneSafe is a simple statement and should be simple to do, but unfortunately it is not.

Chris, we have some stuff planned that I am sure we will need your talents and experience to help us. I hope that is ok with you.

We would actually like to come up with a cool t-shirt design that highlights the dunesafe concept, but still appeals to the young, hip crowd.

I think that we need to target the new duners, so that they learn what being a "duner" is really about.

I hope to talk to you soon and discuss how we can help each other out.

You guys are the best, and I cant tell you how much it means to me to have everyone back us up. We WILL succeed, and our dunes WILL be safe.

I vote for #1....just my $.02..I need a new shirt, mine has seen better days.

I have to admit, I do like #1 also.

I have no problem with any decision you make about the logos (using them or not) it was honestly just my opinion that they needed a new, "stronger" look. It prompted me to throw the offer out to help. I'm not in this for money. My $.02 is that the current logo is a little weak. It doesn't put out a strong message. My opinion again, it needs to be bold and strong, "DUNE SAFE". We don't want to whisper the message, we want to yell it out loud. Nothing is more important safety in this sport. Especially to the young up-and-comers. Teach 'em young and hey'll carry it throughout their life.

I don't want to step on any toes so I'm going to jump back off my soap box before I do. You guys are smart, caring people and I'm sure you'll figure out the best way to get your message out to the people. Use me to help you out when you feel necessary. If you want to do shirts, call me and we'll discuss.

Rivermobster, wifey and I have never done anything like this before, so I am always open to suggestions. I agree with needing to make a bold statement. It needs to be pounded into some peoples heads that going mach 10 with your hair on fire while lighting the crack pipe is not all that cool.

A logo that I would really like to do is to have our "Dune Safe" message in the middle of the logo, then surrounded by a buggy at the top, quad on lower left and 2 wheeler on lower right. Kinda like how they do holiday weekend shirts but it says "Thanksgiving 2006" or whatever in the middle. Know what I mean?
Then at the bottom have a slogan something like "Duning it right" or ??? I think that would come across as cool and modern, not just a couple old fogies wanting to ruin everyones fun.

That is pretty much exactly what I had in mind. I dont know how much extra it would be for color and a bit more flair, but after seeing what you put up I dont know if its necessary. I do like what you had up there...THANK YOU!!!
