You leave too many questions unanswered. Price range and how you plan to use it would be a good starting point.

Have you looked at used cars on this site and Dunebuggy.com. Some smokin deals out there.
Whatever you buy go for a ride before the purchase. And I guess I will say it, take a look at Funco.
(Not sure about the five seats unless it is a bench?)
Do some searches on this forum for the different builders and you will get the consensus on each.
Good luck.

I third that vote. Besides building one hell of a good car, that guy is just cool and very knowledgable about sand car/trucks in general. You should do a search on the site to see some of the projects he has posted. He's got a fairly new one out that is effin sweet (Silencer) and a lot more affordable than most of the bigger rails, definatly worth looking into........
Matter of fact, a member in here is building the Silencer right now and has a log on it...

I think all of the above recommendations are great. I'd seriously be looking at the used market right now if I were you. Summer time is a great time to buy used buggies, and there is a TON of great deals out there right now! Also, please make sure that you ride/drive in as many different buggies you can before you go and buy a new or used one.

There are way too many biased opinions. Go look at several builders, then base your opinin from that. The car and company should sell themselves. Just my opinion.

I would look at www.thebuggyshop.com i think saint runs one of there cars. he has a video of him jumping it and landing completly on the sidewalls of his tires and not hurting, breaking, bending anything!
thats who i am going to be buying my a-arms from when i do my conversion to my car. they use toyota ball joints and brakes. so parts are super easy to find and there VERY strong. there rails have kind of a unique look to them. but from my experience he is willing to change just about anything on the frame you want.

I have the buggyshop car that Tuff puff is talking about. I love the car, love the way it looks, and love how well the suspension works. In all honesty, Jeff is a good guy and will build you pretty much anything you want but he is a smalltime/part time builder so he will build his car around his schedule and personal life.
Lots of good guys have already been mentioned here, Justin From Revenge has been awesoem to me, he's one of the best for sure, if i liked the way his cars looked i would have went with him no doubt. SCU cars are really nice to....

Go with Elite Offroad Performance, the car is amazing! I dont know if you have ever seen mine, but those guys know what they are doing, its so well designed. They also have a smaller, shorter wheelbase car coming out that will be all over Funco's handiling ability and lightweight.
I went big and top end on everything and Im really happy with it. My buddy just built one with a Twin Turbo 5.3 from Turnkey and a brand new S4 with all the upgraded parts and its badass. The budget wasnt too bad either.
Go Elite Offroad Performance, Dario and Mitch 562 802 1060. Its like the Ferrari of sandcars.
