I just pick up a set off of a buddy of mine. My question is to those of you who run these carbs. What's a good starting point for the jetting. The carbs have 152 mains, 55 pilot, with the needle in the 3rd clip. Airscrew ?. My mods are
+4 timing
Samcoe 60+ hp porting.
Coolhead (not sure of the dome but it runs pump gas)
34 PJ carbs

I run 168 mains in mine. Cannot remember the pilots. Bike runs nice and crisp. (3mm stroker, Duncan/Sundail porting, Duncan mid range pipe and fast line ignition)

You are real close on the jetting, maybe a smaller pilot but what you have should work, maybe 155mj on a lean day are you running the airbox or k&n's
email me at rick@jbcomputers
What needles are you running??
Rick
FYI. since sam coe is a VERY good personal friend I now his porting specs and can really get you dialed for jetting email me!

Thanks for the reply. The needle says CCM on it. I'm assuming that’s what kind it is. I got these carbs at the end of last season and ran them with the porting and the top end seemed pretty good so I'm assuming the mains at 152 were good. Since then I advanced the timing +4 so I'm assuming a 155 would be a safe assumption. When I pulled the carbs apart the clips were in different positions on each side and the airscrews were set at 1 1/2, and one at 3 1/2. I assume that's what gave me a bit of hesitation at about 1/2 throttle. I do have the K&N clamp ons also. I realize it isn't going to be perfect until I get out there but want to get dialed in as close as I canso I'm not pulling these things apart out in the dez. I'm a rookie at tuning so all your input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
