Well instead of posting a thread like this one...why not just pick up the phone and call them? That is what I would do if you want the "scoop", if there is even a "scoop" to be found out. As a business man, maybe you should suggest the same thing to those that are asking.

Seems much more professional and mature to me, I'll even help you out...

I personaly butcherd your shocks??? or one of my guys did... I assume you are talking about the chewed up shaft mount!!! on the shaft that was bent and the mount rubbed on it

but that was ok ... You still sent the shock back to us and we fixed everything you SAID we damaged and shiped it back to you FREE OF CHARGE and if I rember we replaced a shaft after the first rebuild. I answerd all your phone calls, responded to all of your PM'S and even called you as soon as you informed me of the problem. I would have even came to Havasu to install them if you wanted me to... If you still have issues Nut up and call me my cell is never OFF!!!

We have no ties to Racer Sand Cars at all. We will be building our own cars of our own design that have no resemblence to any ohter builder's cars. Soon we will have a sand car, a prerunner car, and a Class 1 race car available (as well as all the prerunner and race trucks that we build). Our CAD guy has several months worth of work into our designs and they are literally 95% complete. A few final tweaks and we will be in production of all of these designs within the next two weeks.
We haven't really thought of names yet. A name is just a name. It's the quality of the product that people will appreciate, we could just name them "Sand Car" "Prerunner Car" and "Class 1 Car" and it would still be the same quality vehicle as one with some fancy name.

I can see where the name might be a bit confusing, if you just call it "sand car" then people might be calling it "Racer Sand Car" and confusing it with the other co.

I was reading along like many people I'm sure, kinda confused because I have a pretty good pulse on most of the drama in this industry, and had not heard of ANY major issues with Racer Off Road, or Racer Sand Cars, or Sand Car Specialties for that matter. Its not possible to make every customer happy, regardless how hard you try. Mistakes do happen, human error and employee liability, are problems every business owner deals with on a daily basis, and its how well they deal with those issues/problems that sets them apart from all the rest IMOP. For the record, these three different shops, for the most part, have one of the better reputations in the industry. I've had dealings with all of them, and have had good experiences with all three, and I doubt that I'm alone in that statement!

Hmm, you mean the gauling I "said" you caused right? 600$ later after having them rebuilt and the shock bodies re finished because of your awesome packaging job, it all got taken care of by someone else, your right. FYI, I paid to have them shipped back to you so you could replace the caps you screwed up "free of charge". If you had been around, you would have seen how they should have been packaged when they arrived back.

from at least one side of the horses mouth.
The conflict that DirtRacer speaks of must just be on the racer sand car (RSC) side. first time I have ever heard anything like that. have not heard that they will not sell us chassis either. just talked to Dale last friday and he was interested in buying our prerunner car.
the whole thing started out as Racer Offroad (ROR) because we were going to sell RSC sand chassis' and focus our time on our store and other parts of the business, trucks, prep, etc. it takes about 14 months to get a chassis with no tabs, no nothing, from Dale and we decided that was way to long and have been busy for over 6 months designing our own cars. 4 seat prerunner, sand car, prerunner truck, trophy truck, class one, corr pro-2 corr pro spec, etc. a ton of CAD and engineering work. We chose the name ROR because it was going to be a close partnership so to speak. by the time we figured out how long it took to get some tubes bent from them it was too late, we already had the name, cards, letterhead, web site, etc. so we were stuck with the name. I told Dale what the name was going to be a year ago and he thought it was way cool and had NO problem with it.
I have no problems with RSC or Dale. Maybe they have some problems with us that I am not aware of. Maybe its other people talking smack that dont have a clue what they are talking about. Amazes me how people that know nothing seem to think they know everything about a particular issue. guess some people are lonely and need the attention, not sure what it is. Again we are friends and business associates with RSC, they buy some parts from us, we value our relationships with others in the industry.
to summerize, is there a problem, conflict, whatever between RSC and ROR? not to my knowledge.
Racer Offroad is focused on building a quality store with everything in stock. quality on time service, builds, repairs, etc. all with the best customer service. We would give the shirt of our backs to our customers, oh wait, we have done that too.

from at least one side of the horses mouth.

Personally I feel sorry for the little guy in this story which now will be Dale! He built a great car which was truly a work of art at the time, a step above what everyone else was doing. Then shows BIG Money, talks him into letting them sell his chassis as a exclusive and promises to promote the name larger than life then there become a conflict and a few words are shared, and WHA LA a separation of the two!
Now the BIG $$ guy's still have a great name and will build some nice cars and Dale sits back and has to think of a new name for his cars!
Pretty much B.S. in my book! But same ol story from the new Industry!
and I'm only looking from the outside of the box this might all be totally wrong we'll see in the future!
Builders: be original with your name there are all ready enough Xtreme's out there!
Something my Dad alway's tought me: Don't shiat in your own front yard! IT STINKS!

I was just at Dales today and he is not cool with the name deal. This thread shows your intentions on what you want to call your cars. If i were to start a 20,000 sq ft building based off of the name racer, i would make sure i had a very detail distribution agreement contract. Im just stickin up for my friend. Maybe you should give him a call and try to resolve this before it gets outa hand. I remember the similar deal with tatum of temecula and tatum. He did the right thing and now hes california sand sports.

i think Dale built a bitchen name for himself by building a quality car and thats why other people will always try to capitalize on the name and product this sport is way to big to have next to the same name ... p.s hey dirty-racer you really know how to step in for your buddy (dale) or maybe you are a silent partner!

My point exactly. I know you guys have a killer shop, showroom, and service bays. Thats great, but from this thread it seems like your going to call your own cars the same name. Dale not only builds sand cars, but prerunners and now alot of race cars and even trophy trucks in the near future. Ive got the 3rd class1 car. 2 chassis are already complete and there are 2 class 10 cars that currently race. He even has 5+ corr superbuggies on order with the first chassis going together now.
