I have been trying to repair a long forgotten 70. the carb was full of white crusy residue. i soaked it in a bucket of chemtool for several hours. after cleaning the carb the trike only runs with the choke on. (yes i know up is on)

can i get a new carb or are then any other options?
thanks

isn't the lever always supposed to be in the up position? and you flick it down to choke it?

Choke is one when lever is up or flat with the world. Choke is off when down, pointed at ground.

If the bike is running best with the choke on ( yes, up ) it is because it is acquiring air from somewhere else.

Most likely the gaskets and O-Ring of the intake manifold.
