I'm in need of some ideas. I picked up my new rail in March and now I'm looking at possibly getting some paint work done. I have about 2 hours on the rail and I figure I might as well do it now while everything is still new and clean. I was thinking about either some orange tribal flames with silver pinstriping or maybe having some orange realistic flames airbrushed on. All of the panels are candy powder coated with custom grinds in the panels. Maybe the best thing is to just leave it alone. Need some input.[attachmentid=167118]

Your instincts are good. In art class they teach that the "color compliment" for green, is red. Orange is a similar color and should work very well. I would recommend a medium or dark orange, and it will work better with the color of the shocks.

Your grind mark texture is pretty striking, so I would not cover too much of it up, even if you just let it peek through the graphics.

Ok fine, I will put the same logo you have on your car. J/K How was St. Athony's.

maybe some slver ghost flames with bright florescent orange or pink tips. I agree w/ hotrod paint, the grind pattern looks sick do if ur gotta paint it i would cover up as little of the grind marks as possible.

I agree, I only plan on having some minimal airbrushing done towards the bottom. I want to leave most of the grinds exposed. I like the ghost flame idea. Maybe some pearl in the flames with a light metal flake. From the pictures it's hard to tell but there is a real light purple metal flake in the powder coat on the frame.

I think it looks awesome as is.I haven't seen anything like it in the sand.I'll bet it looks REALLY good in the sunshine.

I would also add the rear bypass...it looks like they are missing.

the green color and lines remind me of something toxic. or the stuff that made the ninja turtles what they are. the green stuff. could get biohazard graphics. aftermath of an nuclear explosion. does it have a name?

Looks like antifreeze, but that doesn't seem to inspire a proper name. How about "Kryptonite", or "Toxic"?

I like it just the way it is. The only thing I would change is the color

Shocker Yellow, such a buitiful thing. I remember talking to you. I didn't get a chance to see your car. I definitely would like to check it out.

The frame is set up for bypasses but I did not plan on adding them. I'm just running a subi so I don't have much weight in the back. I only have about 2 hours on the car. If I find that I want them later I can add them easily without having to mess up any powdercoat or doing any extra fab work.

My wife named it " Toxic Inferno" but I don't know if I'm sold on that name yet. I have seen a bio hazzard rail already so that's out. I'm Still thinking thou.

Thanks for compliment. The springs were originally supposed to be powdercoated black. The custom powercoat and grinding was hard enough to get. Shocker Yellow candy coat is not a cheap color to get powder coated, some companies won't even do it. Getting the springs powdercoated are on my "to do" list.

Wicked.Good (@ Pipelayer's computer): How about Toxicity? I always thought it was a cool name when SYstem of a Down came out with the album, and it kinda works with the slimy oozy shocker yellow color.

You could do a black tribal or flame graphic and do a green tru fire on the black and maybe an orange pinstriping to accent it all off.
