I just put on new pads and changed the fluid and bled the calipers. I noticed that the pads seem to be a bit tight on the rotors. I can still spin the front tires but I don't remember them being this tight. Do I just need to wear in the pads? Are the pistons sticking?

well the way disk brakes work is the rotation of the rotors help the calipers open up since there are no return springs on disk brakes. sounds like you should be fine, if they were hard to turn then id say you have a problem.

Were the calipers on the discs? If not that might be the problem :dozey:

Actually the dust boots are the spring. They pull the cylinder back into the caliper. If it is still sticking after a trip try and remove the pads and lightly apply the brakes the move out the cup. Take some fine emory cloth and clean the outside of the cups (do oneside at a time). If this is the first time replacing the pads it is possible you have rust on them and it is hindering the cups from returning to the bore

I TOOK THE WHOLE SYSTEM OFF I DIDN'T SEE THE NEED FOR FRONT BRAKES IN THE SAND. PLUS IT TAKES OFF LIKE 14LBS FROM THE FRONT OF THE BIKE.

Back brakes don't stop you in a hurry. If you want to stop in a hurry, use both your back and front brakes. Like Kevin, I use my front brakes mostly to slow down. I use the backs to slide around a corner.

If u get stuck on a steep hill and u coming down backwards with no front brakes its going to be hard to slow down with back brakes, u will end up fliping :dozey:

IF THAT DOES EVER HAPPEN (WHICH IT WON'T) YOU GET OFF THE BIKE AND LIFT THE FRONT END AND TURN THE BIKE AROUND AND RIDE BACK DOWN. IV'E HAD TO DO IT WHEN TRING OUT OTHER PEOPLES UNDER POWERED HONDAS.

When I rode quads I never used my front brakes. Now that I'm on 2 wheels the front brakes don't exist.
