You should also ask what work have you done on your motor? Which paddles are you running..how many paddles are you running. You know that it WILL make BIG gearing difference also.We did spend a good amount of time testing.I will check ours out later today and repost. ecs.gif

06 450R...13-41 with HRC kit,4" swingarm,...E.S. air cleaner alum tube intake, open K&N filter (no air box). 20-10-10X7 paddle Extreme haulers. 7 paddle vs 6 paddle will make a BIG difference at olds...my buddy and I did a good amount of paddle testing...6 vs 7 vs 8 on our 06's and 6 and 7 paddles work best based on your gearing. My buddy is running 6 paddle with the same mods as ours and LOVES 13-42 X 6 paddle...ours 13-41 X 7 paddle. He starts out better going up Olds but I always beat him at the top. Also if you run deeper paddles that will REALLY affect your gearing....do what we did...buy 40-41-42 gears and test them....you owe me a BEER !,Robert. carrot.gif

Mods are a full ESR pipe/Hotcam II / no lid, right now I'm running sand stars but will be going to a hauler next season. Probably gonna do a 20x10x8 7 paddle hauler. Don't think I need the extreme due to the fact that I'm a heavier guy. Or maybe a 6 paddle extreme! I'm still doing research on it. Also with that gearing, how's it do for all around duning. Seems like you'd lose alot of top end, I don't want to be rippin through the flats and getting passed by 400ex's!! Like I said not looking for a hill shooter just something good all around.

Works great...I'm 230lb dude.

Guess I need to revisit this. Stuck with the stock 13-38 gearing with some 20x10x8 6 cup extreme's and it ran decent but the paddles Skat trak is using now for the 20in only had a 60 rollout and looked like they blonged on a 70 they were so small. Just bought a set on 21x12x8 6 cup extremes and they have a 69 rollout and sit about 1 1/2 2 in taller than the old ones. Gonna try the stock gearing but was thinking about ordering a 40 and 41. Any of you Honda experts on here have any input. Also, the bike is just cammed/piped (for now) and is used mostly for duning.

Your headed in the right direction. Now just get the 41 and 42 and see wich one you prefer

bought a 39/40/41. Starting with the 39 just to see. Still want to have some top end.

im in the same area as u.. 05 duner

hotcam2
piston
pipe
boxless intake and used for duner. im on skat-edges now but going to a skat-hauler. 21x12x8 (7)or(8) paddle.

im on 14-39 gearing now, id like to get more bite of the line but i like how it pulls up top now, and i dont have to ride the rev limiter. im gonna leave it as is for now till i get better paddles to help me pull of the line.
