EVERYthing for mounting!
the only thing you will need is simple hand tools and wire taps or but connectors
to tap into your wire harness to get power for the ballast

TurboVtec
"(( MAY need relay added ))"

why would you need to add a relay?
Wheelie Bar
some guy told me that, a Rhino shop told him that the HID system will trip the fuse.... I personal think thats bull chit, but I dont want anyone coming at me all pissed off, tryin' to play it safe...
CripKnievel
It will 100% trip the fuse in the rhino. I replaced mine with a 25amp and dont have any problems, just dont start your rhino with the headlights on, its a hard habit to break but you will get used to it. I would say a relay is overkill and a slight pain the ass to add, not worth it IMO.

Also, i have had false start up on the ballasts on some kits that i have done, yamaha seems to have a crap ground in the (-) wire that comes in the loom with the yellow and green wire. Sometimes you need to directly ground the ballast and not use the factory one.

I just did the conversion on my 07, Takin her out to Glamis for a night run this weekend,Sooo were is that fuse located ??????
Wheelie Bar
It is a small fuse box with a black cover. The stock fuse is a 15 amp but put a 25 amp one in it.
It is the small flat 2 prong type.

and
only tap the (+) into the harness
try to do a direct ground!
keep it short and sweet to each ballast!

this will help alot

CripKnievel
under the battery cover, there is a fuse block. Read the abbreviations and it will tell you which one it is. I think its the only 15 amp one in there...forget, its been a while since i did mine. They take the small fuses too.
Wheelie Bar
((( Attention everyone ))))
a 12v relay will be needed
you might get lucky without one, but Im told
that the Rhino will trip the 25amp fuse too!

RTessi415
is the reason for the relay to reduce arcing that causes the fuse to trip, hence removing the fuse pop?

p.s. I got my kit last night and should have it installed in my '07 as soon as my '06 housings arrive... THANKS FOR THE SPEEDY SHIPPING!!!
powerplay
My kit already has the relay hasn'tt popped yet..Tested it last night ..I like it..

Hey Kyle? Pipelayer and I want to know if you are going to do any for the Arctic Cat Prowler.

We just ordered your 10,000K Rhino conversion HID's.
I look forward to installing them in my 06 Rhino SE.
Just a question, what wattage are the 10,000K bulbs?
Robbie
I just got my RZR kit.

Where does the big grommet go?

At the top of the installation there is a diagram drawn in,
it shows high beam and low beam connectors. The RZR only has one beam?

Also, No hardware in package.

Can you post some better pics showing each component installed and wired?

cut the grommet apart and separate the 2
bulb and power harness
don't pay attention to the instructions
if you have questions, call me and I will walk you threw it

My hid conversion works great with a 20 amp fuse, IF the battery is fully charged. If I run my stereo for an hour or so (no amp just a head unit XM, and four 6-1/2's) it will blow the 20 amp also! I use a battery tender on my Rhino and just keep the battery topped off. It must be something with the stock wiring because I also have hid's on the bumper that will work fine even with a so-so charge on the battery.

if you have plug n play for the rzr...what about the ranger?

Well, we received our 06 Rhino kit, fast shipping by the way.
The HID bulbs in the kit had the same three prong shape as
the stock 06 bulbs, but were about 25 % smaller, there was
no way they would have stayed in the housings.

I had to silicone them in place, not what I wanted to do, but
I know of other people who have done it and it seems to
work out OK. I did have to replace the fuse with a 25 amp
and I will try to remember not to start the engine with the
lights on.

I like the ballast brackets and the overall quality of the kit,
just wanted to point out the size difference of the HID bulb
plastic base as compared to the stock bulb base.

Light wise how do you like them? Is it a ton more light than the stockers? I have 2 VisionX HID's on the front bumper and I'm thinking about doing this set up as well for a little more upclose lighting or when I don't want to run my big HID's.
ivan dan
Oh....post some pics of the lights at night if you don't mind. I'd really like to see a side by side comparison of stockers and this set up.

I'll take some pictures tonight, I want to do some adjusting anyway.
Wheelie Bar
you have to run the white plastic spacer with the the rubber grommet for them to fit tight.
some before and after shots too

THESE LIGHTS ARE AMAZING!!!!!

BEST UPGRADE BAR NONE... BAR NONE...

I didn't have a camera for pictures, but I was running through Pismo all Saturday night with only the 2 headlights converted and 4 (pointless) halogen lights and NEVER had an issue with anything at all related to the function, but most importantly the light was wide bright and crystal clear...

BUY THESE NOW... you will NOT regret it considering others are paying 2-3X for the same results...
