I called my dealer, and they told me that the MUST be the ones that install them. I am calling the guy that we know over there this week (assistant GM) to see if we can pick it up. Most of the guys at this dealer's service department are a bunch of dumbasses that I would not trust as far as I can throw them. We would much rather Doug install them.
And I don't know if Steve has a job or not.

He sure likes to "help" keep the threads going, even on topics which do not pertain to him at all, and tpoics about things that he does not own and does not plan to own. We all know by now that his golfcart works great for him, which is fine by me.

You don't have to own a Rhino to understand Yamaha's product liability issues.
Unfortunately, their decision to ship them without doors to begin with may have been a very costy mistake. But they'll just pass those costs on to the consumer.
I still say Yamaha's only mistake was under estimating people's stupidity, the markets desire for UTV's, and the Mods that the aftermarket came up with. Accidents can and do happen, but to say it is Yamaha's fault is very Liberal of you Steve....
C'mon...
you're going to have to read the posts much more carefully than that. And no, I'm not blaming your teachers for that.

I never said Yamaha was at fault for any accident. Ever.
However, I do think that since the Rhino is capable of that top speed, and that it is fairly top heavy, it would have been prudent of them to install doors from the beginning, both as a safety feature and as a measure to limit liability.
Obviously they agree with that, or they wouldn't be sending out doors now, at great expense.
Think back to the first horseless carriages, then early cars, and what we have now on our cars for safety features. Seat belts, seats that don't collapse, airbags, side airbags, safety glass, ABS, stability control, crumple zones, etc etc.
Why do the mfrs put all this stuff into the cars? They would run just fine without them. For added safety. Nobody is saying that the mfrs are at fault for any accidents, but they are held responsible to build safe vehicles, as Yamaha should be.
