got any pics of your aluminum. Complex curves kinda hard. Avery products makes a great vinyl looks better than most not to hard to install have you ever thought about the vehicle wrap you can do any thing you want on it just a thought

I just did it 2 weeks ago.
My family owns a wholesale sign supply company so I get it all at cost.
Still, very expensive stuff.
After doing it myself, I would say, unless you have some experience with pressure sensitive vinyl, the look elsewhere.
The problem I ran in to, is that the stuff we sell is not vinyl. It is actually more like an aluminum/mylar film with a non scrim adhesive and release liner. I went with the Oracal brand. Regular vinyl is stretchy and can be pretty resiliant with heat. Not this stuff. if you crease it, the crease stays. Going around curves or contours is a bitch. and unless youget real close, you can not even tell that it is CF. looks like regular grey or charcoal paint or vinyl.

These are some recent pics:

There are water spots on the vinyl. took the pics while washing it. but you can see how difficult it is to tell that the laminate is actually carbon fiber.
24" x 25' at wholesale cost is around $500-600 or so.
I get it for much less than that since we sell wholesale to the sign shops but still it was pretty effin expesive for me... I think I have 24" x 12 feet left if you want it, but I would look elsewhere. The outcome was dissapointing..

Well i was hoping for better sucess stories than that, but thankyou for the input, My aluminum is very flat with very simple curves, so I dont think that will be an issue.

I was wanting to use this new carbon fiber II that is out that has an actually woven pattern embedded into it. Looks very realistic.

The Hydro graphics look great, I think i could utilize them on my engine plastics.

That material shown onthe link you provided is the exact stuff that I used.
Oracal
They have a few different colors, but all the same pattern.
Looks nice up front, but I am telling you.. from a distance you can't even tell.

If you can find some other vinyl then maybe it would look better.
If I were to do it over again, I would go a different route.
