Hello everyone! I was wondering if there is anyone in the North OC area that knows a lot more than I do about working on quads. I am learning how to work on my bike by myself but I think rejetting is still a little out of my league. I have the jet kit already but reading the directions is like reading Chinese to me sad.gif I put a Big Gun exhaust system on it and it needs to be jetted for that. And I am new at having to do the maintenance/mods on my bike so...is there anyone near Buena Park that has a little extra time on their hands this week to help me out for a small fee? I would be sooooo grateful to you biggrin.gif Please email me at mxgirl333@yahoo.com or instant message me at any of the below messenger services  Thank you sooooo much!

how does it run with the stock jets in there?

I played games with ceveral jet kits and ended up with the best results sticking with the stock jet set-up

I took it out last weekend and didn't think it ran very well. It felt like it was bogging down a lot. I just found a place close to my house that will do it for $50 and have it back to me by Friday so I am taking it there in the morning. A friend of mine has the same bike and pipe and runs 155R and 150L jets and tells me that's the way to go. I trust his judgment. And because working on my bike is all new to me...I'm looking for advice anywhere I can get it smile.gif He gave me a DynoJet kit for it so hopefully it all works out and the bike will run great this weekend biggrin.gif

good luck...

ever Raptor seems to be diffrernt so don't just tell them that u want a 155/150 let them tune it right.

$50 is a good deal, you have to almost disassemble the entry thing to get to those jets. I got it down now though... complete change out in 20 minutes biggrin.gif

Thanks for your help! I'll keep it in mind biggrin.gif

now i was gonna ask the same question here. my buddy is doing the same and he has been offered about $120 out the door to set it up. he bought an fmf system for his raptor and he went to their website and it said to run a 145 to 150 main and if he went with a k&n also to run it up at a 150 to 155 jet. i mean he hasnt even ran it stock cuz i wasnt sure if it was ok too. so i guess we will mess with it this weekend.

anyone runnin a raptor with an fmf system on it? let me know what jets you have.

thanks

Best bet is get the Dynojet kit or GYTR jet kit. The instructions are pretty good with both. Get the Proflow K&N kit with outerwear so that you can ditch the airbox lid completely. I have the Yoshi with the air box lid off and I am running a 148/150 dynejet (they are numbered differently from the standard Mikuni's). The difference was amazing.

They run about $130. A guy on Bluetraxx.com is trying to sell one for $40-$50. You may want to check it out in the buy/sell forum.
