Has anyone tried paddles on a Kasea 50? We tested my sons new skyhawk 50 in the sand last weekend and it wants to bury the back wheels. I was thinking about picking up a set of paddles before we go to Glamis. I would like to know if you guys have had any luck with them. Thanks.

Ballon tires are the way to go. Your problem is flotation since there isn't enough power to tun the paddles to make them work.

Air the tires way down. It will make a bigger difference than paddles on the little machines.

Yes, airing them down is the ticket. I don't think anyone makes paddles for those little quads. 6 paddle gliders are the smallest I've seen and those are for LT80's.

Saw a set of paddles on a Denali (sp?) 50 I think, things are tiny! So they are out there!

Thanks guys! Actually Skat-Trak makes a 16" paddle for a 7" or 8" rim. The frustrating thing is that the Kasea is a lot faster and has a lot more torque than our LT50, but the LT50 goes better in the sand.

My son had a Lem Condor that sucked in the sand. We got rid of it and bought a LT-50. The LT50 does OK due to the floatation of the tires. I added a K&N filter, rejetted, and a graydon proline pipe to the LT50. It has made a huge difference on the street with 200 lb+ guys drag racing them. I hope it make as big of a difference with my 40 lb son in the sand. If you want specifics about the LT50 hop up, let me know.

How much for the filter and pipe?

Pipe was $270 and filter and outerwear was $45. Little steep for such a small bike, but these are not heavy movers for Graydon or K&N I'm sure. Overall the performance improvement was worth it. My son will continue to grow his skills without being placed on a bike that is over his head in physical size department.
