I just wanted to know if anyone has run into problems with their drive train running paddles in glamis. I know my Rhino runs through the dunes without them but is it a huge difference with them on?

no problems, overall same as knobbies just more flotation and little better traction. and with less weight probably less strain than regular wheels and knobbies.

I was going to start a new thread asking about tire combos for glamis... but since this one seems kinda dead, its HIJACK time! It's along the same lines though... I hear a lot of people talking about how good the Smoothie / Hauler combo is, but how well do you think Big Horns up front and Hauler out back will work? Im getting a set of Horns on OMF beadlocks for the desert etc... but instead of buying a whole set of tires for G i would like to be able to just buy the hauler for the rear and run the horns up front. Anyone have experience with this setup or similar?

I've said it in a dozen different threads it is the weight as much if not more than the paddles. Bighorns with beadlocks weigh almost 20lbs more PER WHEEL than the lightweight 10" douglas blue label's on 25" lumberjacks. The lower weight along with the high flotation of the smoothies is really the combo you will see the most out of with the 24hp you are working with. If you only do the paddles in the rear you are missing almost all of the benefit, I would not waste the $$ on just the paddles alone for just the rear, just go with your bighorns at like 3-4lbs with beadlocks, they will get you around fine in the dunes especially if you only go to the dunes a few times a year.
