I am wiring a set of Fuego HID's, do I need to run relays and fuses, or will just a fuse box work? What are some good toggle switches?

Thanks for any input,

Mike

for just 2 hid's you can easily get away with just a fuse but realays are always a good idea too. EventuallY I was told your switch may wear out if you don't use relays.
GWTT
Id use a relay, going to when I run my HID setup on my YFZ, low power switch to give power to the relay which opens high power to HID. fuse on the switch and the larger gauge of the relay a fuse. dont want anything to burn down because of a shorted wire.

If you think you might ever want to add more lights to that switch, running a relay makes it easier.

Use a fuse and a relay.

Relay and 2 fuses like GWTT. Much safer if you have a short. Remember, the small gauge wire that triggers the relay cant handle the same power of the lights. Or, you can trigger the relay by using the switch to throw ground. Then you only need one fuse.

Look here for a discussion with diagrams:

Found the other thread I was looking for with more pics and discussion:

Edited to add:

Remember to follow the last drawing of the post that shows the fuse location directly from the battery ( fuse should be close to the battery) whether you use ground or hot for the relay trigger. The first pics do not show the fuse.
