It was awesome there. We were camped about a mile down Ogilby rd. It was a little ride to the dunes, but only about 5 minutes give or take. I loved the dunes! They were actually different than Glamis. They were bigger and more switchback. While sitting on one dune taking a break, I saw Mike330r drive by with a big group. All in all it was a great week. I think I actually liked it better than Glamis, less crowded and lots of fun. We are making our next New Years trip to Gordons!

Yeah I've done both Glamis and the south dunes and prefer the south. Havn't camped at Ogilby yet but have plans to. The camping and dunes are different than G. And if you havn't ridden the dunes south of Buttercup you're in for a real surprise: nothin but bowls.

Gordons get pretty busy in the flats but nothing like Glamis. I call Ogilby the retirement area. It is so quite. Gonna be in Ogilby the day after christmas to sometime the first week in Jan.

Our friends go to Ogilby all the time and we've joined them a couple times now. The first time I didn't like it at all compared to Glamis. Then we went over the T-day week and I've changed my opinion of the place. The camping is quiet, you pretty much won't get stuck, and you don't have every azzhat camping on top of you or riding thru your camp like you get at Glamis on a busy weekend. We even found some decent dunes just behind Test that were pretty fun. I still think I prefer the dunes at Glamis but the camping at Ogilby is top notch.

It's allready crowded. Up till the time when the user fees went into effect it was empty I mean 2 camps around the tower on most weekends and one of them was ours. When they first started the fees Ogilby was still free for the first year thats when people started camping there. If the wife liked it even a little I would still go there for some weekends . I love the small dunes fom the pole back to the tower just as he sun starts to set, Then again I love all the dunes with the sun at my back.

It was very quite there, i think you get better sleep too, you dont hear a quad or sandrail go by every 30 seconds, and there are no lights shining in your window when people are trying to find there camp. We will be out there 2 days after Christmas all the way until January 2nd. Another plus about it is if you need anything, Yuma is only 15 minutes away. There are also other things to do there than ride. On one day, we went 4 wheelin looking for Geods, and then we went to Mexico and got some awesome tacos! Unfortunately after the 1st of Jan. you will need a passport to go to and from Mexico.

The two things I miss most about Ogilby are my friends who stopped riding and stopping for taco's on the ride home. Best taco's in Aldagones are at the place thats on the first street to the right down one block on the southwest corner. Might just have't to take a detour one of thease days on the road home.

thats the guy i went to for tacos. 1 guy cookin meat and tortillas, 1 guy puttin the tacos together, and 1 more guy takin orders. then once you get your tacos, they have a bunch of different salsas to pick from in buckets.
