Great job O Soto on the crosses. Thanks to all the GD crew for doing such a stand up memorial for this family. The whole scene that morning was very moving for us even though we did not personally know this family that was lost they were part of our extended family of duners.

we are blown away, we have no words, thank you seems not enough to express the depth of gratitude we owe all of you.
we hope to get out there and view the memorial in person but it may be awhile till we can. i hope to meet with all who helped with this when time allows.
this proves to me that there is more good than bad in this world, i have found alot of comfort here on this site and have made solid friends for life.

Good morning people,
Me and Lisa are starting to see the pictures for the first time, They look awesome, thanks to all who were involved.
Can someone get me a list of those responsible?
As far as the question asked about the railroad allowing the the crosses, We have had reps from the railroad at our house, and we were assured that nobody from the railroad has removed or will remove the memorial. The conductors use our memorial and others as reminders of how dangerous trains and people can be.
Thanks again,
Marco, Lisa, and Michael

Well, I think theyre a very symbolic and generous gesture from the parties involved, good jobs guys. If anything, maybe it will slow the traffic on wash road as people stop to admire them and pay their respects.

Once again, to ensure that there is no misunderstanding as to the meaning behind these memorials...these are here for two reasons, first and most importantly as a memorial to the lives of three young children that were so tragically lost in the dunes...second, as a constant reminder to us all to be safe in the dunes, and to be sure to tell those close to you that you love them every single day. I promise that I will be finding some sort of reflective tape, and Pipelayer and I will personally place it on the crosses when we arrive on Christmas Day. The last thing we want is to see anyone hurt as a result of something that was placed with the best of intentions.

Steph, I have some red, white, blue and green reflective vinly tape that I'll let you use to put on the crosses.
If anyone is going out this weekend in the Corona area that I can get the tape to let me know. If not I'll bring it out for New Years and place it on them myself.

I've teared up SO MANY times over the this tragedy, I thought that at least that was a thing of the past. And its not......Reading the comments made by these two families is just moving to say the least. You all did something truly outstanding, and I like the rest of the family here on GD.com, am proud of all of you for doing this, thank you!

thank you to everyone for all of your hard work in replacing the memorials
I had some friends that went out this past weekend and took some pictures for me. I had not had a chance to see the new memorials in person with the new pictures added.
I have tied to post them but the file size is too large and I am not sure how to resize them to post them for everyone.
Thank you so everyone
Love,
Dianna
I love you sami and miss you terribly!
RIP Sami, Jacob and Amanda
