Ok, help me increase my knowlege some. What are the differences between the desert race Rhino that Cory has, vs the new short course your building for him?? It looks lower to the ground, but what else? Shorter, wider, lighter, etc?
coryz71
Desert rhino weighs over 1550 lbs. and has - fresh air system, intercom, GPS, Jack, spair tire, HIDS, first aid kit, spare parts. It is built extra heavy duty with the full SDHQ arms and has alot more tubing for support and safety.

Short Course rhino weighs under 1200 lbs. and is built low, light and fast!!!

SDHQ will have more specifics!!

John - You need a couple of these!!!! 25cheers.gif

The Desert ride does good in the short courses but this will be a purpose built machine... The short course will be lighter by quite a few pounds, no need for HID's, pumpers, SDHQ boxed arms, big fuel cell.... It is lower and a smidgen wider...

Planning on having it out testing end of next week!

Also, thanks Lonestar for sponsoring Cory's short course car!

Thats a nice looking unit.

You must have some serious motor work planned to haul around 1550 lbs!! scared.gif

The stock rhino at 1050 lb (?) feels like a pig.
SDHQOFFROAD
The desert rig is 1400lb at it's lightest and 1550 full loaded... It has a Bronco dry clutch and Cory had weller build a 800cc motor... At that weight Cory has ran 2 races and came in 1st at both (Snowflake & Las Vegas Supermoto)

Our desert ride weighs in about 50lbs more than Corys and has the same Bronco clutch and a weller 760 motor... It finished 1st over all in the Pro Division of Whiplash...

Looks good!
Can you tell me what you get for a chassis with the aluminum panels etc.? My uncle is looking to build something like this but just wants chassis, etc and he will finish! He will be back from his holiday cruise next week and will probably want to come look!

Thanks,
Carl

Didn't get any fresh out of the shop pics... Cory has already had it out for a couple races and a few times through the desert... So she is a little dirty!

SIMPSON
Very Nice!!! What did the car end up weighing?

Thanks,
coryz71
Just over 1100lbs with the bighorn tires. I love my Rhino!!!
