Kenny, just out of curiosity, I know that the person who hit you was a person you know. You said she was not at fault, not trying to blame her, I also ride the sleds and just trying to prevent this from happening to me. Maybe you can explain only if you want what caused the collision.
Get well soon bro!

Inexperience. Sleds dont have "brakes", they use drag, and engine braking to slow down. If she was going 40 MPH when she hit him, she was probably doing 50 a short time earlier..
Im from that area and have done quite a bit of sledding, its can be dangerous, it IS cold, and there is usually a glare off the snow. Not too mention 800 CC 2 stroke triple "mountain cats" that flat out get it...
Hope you get well soon...

One thing he forgot to mention. His right knee was where it was suppose to be, but the rest of his leg was off to the right at almost a 90 degree angle. The left upper leg is 2 breaks, both tib and fib.
Was so cute this morning tho, he wouldn't let the nurses give him his sponge bath, he told them, my Mom will do it lol. But kids and I are home now, storm coming in and wanted to get over the mountain before it hit, so good luck Nurses lol.

Oh man that's a bummer

I did the tib/fib on my left leg and that was no fun at all.
Glad to hear you had enough for them to bolt you back together though. I had to wait 6 months for the bones to grow back enough to be bolted back together...that was even less fun that the original accident!
Enjoy that happy button while they let you have it!
