I was putting my motor back together the other week and noticed that the manifold did not match up to the v-force reeds. Should I port match the vforce to the manifold or is it going to affect the reeds? It is a 18 of an inch or more on the inside of the reeds.

i wouldnt mess with your v-force reed cage...call trinity and see what they can do for you, or if they have any ideas.....but the last thing you wanna do is mess with that stupid thing.... mine broke a reed and melted the left side two weeks ago cuz the guy who had it before me messed it up somehow and this isnt the first time its broken a reed..but call trinity and tell them whats up and if there is no way around it then shaving it down a tad hopefuly wont hurt it..

Well I did it anyways and it turned out nice. There should be about 1-2 hp on the top end with this problemed fixed.

I rode my newly redone shee and the reeds work great. It pulled 14-42 up olds to easily. I am going to try 15-42 and see how that works. So for all of you 2-1 carb owners out there check out what I am talking about with the reeds not matching up to the manifold.
DUNE DEMON

No problems matching up on mine .do you have the new 2-1 or the older model ?

I have the older model that is about a year and a half ago. I guess like you were saying that the new one is fixed? I run 15-42 gears now because I was running out of gear with the stock gears. It runs up olds in 4th gear and pulls all the way through and on the sand drags at gheko it pull 6th no problem and dunning is not all about shifting all the time to get the most out of the power band. It just pulls with the port now.
