This came to me while reading yet another "we found a lost kid on a quad and returned him to his parents" thread.



I have Jazmin's name and my cell # engraved on one of Jazmin's dog tags. It works, someone called me once and I got her back within minutes. Why anyone would put their home # on there when they would most likely be out on the streets or dunes looking is beyond me, but that's fodder for another thread.

Would you guys consider selling a small necklace or bracelet for kids to wear with their name and parents' cell # on it? Or maybe a t-shirt with the info the parents want on it. You could price it a couple bucks over what it costs, raise some funds, help relieve stress and get kids reunited with their parents much faster.

Just a thought. I know a spot on vendor's row is really pricey, but maybe one of the vendors would be willing to do it in collaboration with you. If you paid for the t-shirt machine, charm engraver and the big banner, maybe Malcolm Smith Motorsports or Gilmore's or some other vendor would be willing to crank them out for $1 profit, you get $2 and the parents get their kids back pronto.


I already have your Dunesafe info card, but someone has to go thru my wallet or the pouch on my rail to find it, it's not something that jumps out like jewelry or a t-shirt. It's just a suggestion, maybe you guys could polish it into a better idea.

How about just print up some bumper stickers with "If found - please call __________" the person buys it - puts his cell phone number on it - puts it on the back of the kids helmet and off they go...

Steve, I like where you are going with this idea, we finally revised the "DunerID" cards to where we are quite happy with them, I was also wanting to get a small sticker that can be put either on a helmet, quad, steering wheel or where ever visible on someones ride to let them know that they have one of our cards. Maybe something about the size of a half dollar in lime or orange color that says...Duner info located....... for quads it could say...in tool pouch or ??? Then for buggies it could say..in wing trunk, or side pouch or something to that effect. Basically have 4 or 5 different ones made up and the owner of the card could choose which one they would like for the area that would work best for them. I think this will be one of our priority summer projects to really get the word out to get these out to the duning public.

I had a dog wonder into our camp with a tag with the name of the dog and a phone number. I called the number and the lady was really pissed!!! (at her husband) She was at home and he was at the dunes with their daughters and the dog. She said he is probably drunk cause she can't get a hold of him. She told me what the m/h was and looked like. Sure enough it was right by me!!! Took the dog over to the m/h.......and there he was, passed out drunk and the teenage daughters no where in sight!!! I called her and she said to wake him up, so I did. She called his phone and I left. m/h was gone in the mornin!!!

I put my duner I.D. in one of the suit case (Luggage) I.D. ( bussines card) holders that snaps on to a bag. It works well on my camel pack. I would love to do the same for the kids.
