Does anyone on the board have a hook-up on any rooms in Vegas? A really good friend of mine is gonna be in Vegas Feb 8-10 on business. I haven't seen her in awhile. Thought it would be fun to meet up with her. Well, I got checkin into room and OMG. What has happened to the price of rooms in Vegas. The average room is over $175 for one of the regular hotels. By time we pay for gas and food it is gonna be a high dollar weekend. Thanks for any help.

Gold Coast or one of the places outside town like Sams Town are usually reasonable.

Welcome to trade show season, there are no more deals in Vegas.
The best bet is to stay off the strip to save money, but anything under $100 will be tough on any weekend, is that near the superbowl dates?

I second the Sams Town sugesstion. Its not on the strip but worth it because of the price difference.

Howdy,
We ususally stay at the Wynn, or the Hilton, but on our last trip we couldn't get in to those places on the first night so we stayed at the South Point.
http://www.southpointcasino.com/Not as nice as the Wynn, but 10 times nicer than the Hilton and on a last minute walk in cost us 80 bucks!! (weekday rate)
It is a little ways out of town, but it is pretty new and really nice.
Thats my .02!
See ya,

If you have a trailer, take it. A couple of friends and I just came back from Vegas and The Orleans has a place for trucks and RV's to park. No hookups, but free to stay there as long is it is hooked to the truck.

Thanks guys. No need to use a taxi, I'll be the D driver

I found the Tropican at $123 a nite. I'm gonna wait a couple day and see what else I can find.

I love the Tropicana but their elevators make me want to hurl for some reason. Be careful in your prego state.

palace station at the north end of the strip usually has good room deals.. However the coast casinos and the station casino's are hard to beat price wise.. they arent on the strip but usually cheap.. I also second the south point it is on the strip just very SOUTH strip.. not that far or hard to get to any of the stuff on the strip from there..

Check out vegas.com they might have a bit better deal for ya as well.. They noted 3 large strip hotels for close to 100 a night.. the Tropidump, the Sahara, and the stratosphere... but they also list quite a few others some for under 100 a night as well.
