Just curious about adding oil treatments to a 2-d. Specifically a product called ER or energy release. I have used it in snowmobile gear boxes with over 240hp with aluminum gears for lightweight, without the er product the gears would only last about 8 hrs. with the product the gears last 10 times longer. I was wondering if the treatments might affect the diffrential in the taxle, how does a transaxle limited slip work?? is it sililar to a rear-end can you make them posi?? thanks for your time.

Our transaxles come standard with a open diff, only now are we toying with the idea of limited slips for these, one of the problems with additives is that the syncro rings are ver particular to additives most will cause more effort to be involed in the shifting and possibly failure. I would check with the company that makes it to make sure it is compatible with syncro rings in manual transmissions. I hope this helps....... Vic
