Took the family out and participated in the cleanup Saturday. Me, my wife, and 4 year old boy had a good time and felt good about what was going on. Had a nice weekend riding and then took this picture while I was airing up the tires to go home Monday near Vendor's Flats. Thought it was kind of ironic, with the poster and all. Of course, I threw it all in the back of my truck after taking the pic.

DOH..

Not defending this at all, but the way its played out. Someone obviously made the effort to get it there. Was this a possible pick up point that got forgotten? Animals will open the bags..
All Im saying it the way it looks set up, someone was very misinformed.

well I wasn't able to go 2 weeks in a row so me and my girl cleaned up the weekend of the 11th.. It was not busy AT ALL and most people picked up their trash ( after I handed them a bag ) but we still left with 7 bags of trash.. There was 1 group of people who were so inconsiderate, They would drive right at people in their rails and fight them for the hill others were already on, and guess what 2 FULL bags just from their camp. That doesn't include all the broken beer bottles I had to pick up out of the sand..We were even picking up their trash while they watched us.. It's all good though, after breaking and fixing my rail 4 times and then having the axle snap I was done.. And then I was getting in my truck and saw some paper towels sticking out of the sand, when I picked them up I found a $20 sitting right next to them...

I guess if you do something good for mother G she does good things for you.

Thank you for the new CV boots Mother G...

Yeah, you are probably right. I guess in the bag is better than nothing. The cleanup was a conflicting experience for me. At the same time that I was feeling good about it, it was making me angry as well. We were doing the cleanup over at Olds. The number of people involved was a pleasant surprise, but what really caught my eye was the number of people NOT involved. The best part for me, was teaching my 4 year old a valuable lesson. The rest of the weekend, he was pointing out trash for me to pick up anywhere we went.

I was at Olds.

Got to say "Hola.." to Hozay....then sweat off many beers by picking up trash.

Nice to see Olds clean.
