Does anyone have any info on the 2008 Corr rules yet.I know there was talk about changes Just wanting to know what they were if any.
450grl
I was just wondering the same thing....I dropped a few e-mails early this week to see what info I could get, and I haven't heard anything as of yet. I hope they get the rules out soon.....and I hope they don't change anything major!
TVS graphics+apparel
as of wednesday they are waiting on a call back from corr to ok the proposed changes.
450grl
Do you know what the proposed changes would be? Thanks!

I heard that the wieght limit has been moved to 1450lbs with driver in it.But not a fore sure thing. They are suppose to have there meeting this week they said they will be focusing on saftey issues.

Raising the weight minimum would be silly , we already look like snails on the big tracks.
450grl
I really hope they give us racers a chance to give some input on that rule. I think it's rediculous to have a 1200lb minimum rule for the previous year.....then have a bunch of people build their rhinos according to that weight rule.......then raise that limit to something much heavier?? I'd like to know why they would even want to do that?? It's harder on suspension components as well as motors - why weigh us all down so much? If it's a safety issue, I still don't see how that works? They should keep the 1200lb minimum, and just make sure when they tech the rhinos that they are built well and have a minimum wall tubing thickness on the main cage if they are worried that people will start building their cages too thin.......that would be alot safer than some of us having to strap I don't even KNOW how much weight into our rhinos to meet any higher weight minumum.
RRRhino
They are calling it the the "fat man rule". DO worry about the weight as much as the new SXS that are coming.
450grl
You mean they are trying to equal the field based on what the racers weigh?? I've been dieting to lose 10 more lbs.......this will throw me all off!! LOL!!

Don't forget, the old 1200# rule was car only.
1450 or whatever new number they decide on will be car with driver (and helmet, fire suit, etc).
I also hear that we may have to add fire suppression systems. Probably not a bad idea.
450grl
I heard helmet restraints possibly required (good idea - gonna get one anyway), but hadn't heard any fire supression stuff.........
B&A
For those who have the light cars this just lets you add wieght were it is needed to make the vehicle preform better. For those that have a heavy car or a heavy drivers it tightens up the field. The saftey stuff they want to add is great.and well needed. And you won't have to diet so hard Corry.J/K

It's just like door lacing, but in the roof.
The lacing is the smaller diameter tubes that form the A or ladder type structure between the main tubes.
