Ok so my question is that you hear about people like lsr making custom frames that improve geomatry amung other things and my question is that if someone like lsr can do this why cant a company like yamaha or honda make a frame as good as them? i whould think they have way more $ for development and whould help there sales a ton.

imo there are only a few things wrong with honda and yamaha frames but so little i dont really care.

LSR can build a specialized frame while the Japanese design a frame that can excell in many terrains.

EXACTLY... put it this way, build a mx frame, then go smash it on a rock, build a "baja" frame, then try to take it to the sand, every application calls for different stuff, LSR can design better geometry because they are going to what yamaha, honda,ETC feel are extreme... Thats why there's plus 2 plus 1 a arms... look at alot of the long travel set ups on aftermarket frames, the shocks are nearly at a 45 degree angle like a Buggy.
