I am planning my first trip to the big sandbox and know you are supposed to have a flag on your ride. But what about at night, do you need a lighted whip? And for us coming from AZ, do you have to display you licsense plate? Thanks for any help, I need all I can get!!

Im not sure about the rules, but to be smart definently have a flag, expecially in mother g, but I dont think u have to have a lighted whip

yes.. whip for sure... bring a spare in case you bust yours.... registration/sticker for your quad... or plate if that's what you guys do in AZ...... no light required at night for the whip, just a lighted bike

Here are the Whip Rules:
SAFETY FLAGS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL VEHICLES IN THE IMPERIAL SAND DUNES RECREATION AREA (This includes two-wheeled motorcycles.) All vehicles shall be equipped with an 8 foot whip mast and a 6x12 inch red/orange flag. Flags may be of pennant, triangle, square, or rectangular shape. Masts must be securely mounted on the vehicle and extend 8 feet from the ground to the mast tip. Safety flags must be attached within 10 inches of the tip of the whip mast with club or other flags mounted below safety flag or on another whip.
