Any idea how the HP is compared to the YZF450

I hope this is not true but I have heard from a few people that it is nothing more then a glorified 400ex. What a disappointment if this is true.
Yamiboy
the only thing i dont like is the front nose of it. looks like a street bike front nose. other than that i think its a cool bike.

After looking them both up on their websites, seems Honda "detuned" quite a bit more than the Yami. Sad to say, 25chatter.gif but I think Honda's atempt will fail.

To answer a couple of rumors first, NO it is not a 450 size engine in a 400EX frame, the frame is totally new. Second, it is not the 450 dirt bike engine adapted to the quad frame, its new from the Valve Cover (only interchangeable part) down.

Some of the things I have heard is that the motor doesn't meet the expectations of the riders. They feel it's under powered compaired to the new bikes being manufactured these days...(I'm thinking they are referring to the Yamaha 450).

Just got an Email from Allen Knowels of CT racing. Honda flew him to Texas to test the new Production 450R. He says it is really a super bike. We all will have to wait form some shoot out results tho.

Ahhh. Thanx for clearing that up.
SHOCKER
For a shoot out, I think the yamaha 450 will pull out in the lead from start to the end
