icon_confused.gif icon_confused.gif I need to have the shock worked on since I extended the swingarm 6". It is WAY too soft. I am in the So. Ca. (the 909) area. Any ideas?? Thanks, Joey

I just redid my Banshee for the same reason - revalved the back and picked up a set of Works fronts with rezzys - Works did the revalve job - they call it a Heart Transplant: New Eibach Spring, bigger shaft, new lower shock base and guts - I let them know my riding style, swingarm mod, and weight and they dialed it in pretty nice.

I used Hy-Tech ATV in Yucaipa (909)794-5776 to send it in, ask for Richard or Joe -It was almost 400.00 for the rear, fronts were almost the same but complete setups. Night and day difference. PEP is very good, but I hear that the wait time can be unnerving! Hytech turned my shock around in about 2.5 weeks and had the new ones built.

Good luck

WOW, maybe i will wait a while, since the banshee is not my primary ride.

try a place in corona called jakes suspension. he quoted me $240.00 to have a stiffer spring put on and revalve the shock for my weight and swingarm difference and all new seals.

I'm in Corona, that sounds better to me.

This topic is perfect timing. I'm about to have my rear revalved too. It's going to get done by works. Through AM Racing in Chula Vista. They are doing some other work for me. He quoted me around $250.
I hear the stock coil is fine for +4. True?

i found the number it is (909)-923-0670 and the place is called suspension by jake.

I just got a eibach stiffer spring. It works fine. I got it from inland atv for 80-90 bucks. That is the cheapest place I have found. It works great too but a little slow on the rebound but I never even noticed it while ridding. I have a +6 and +3+1 a arms and I was hauling a$$ through the woops. If you think that you need a $400 rear shock then you can still get that heart transplant and use the same eibach spring.

I am just trying to avoid bottom out. If the spring works, then I will go that route. I also have the 6" swing and I weigh about 200lbs. What is the spring rate?

You might be able to shave that price down quite a bit - I did the whole enchilada cuz your talkin about a 6'3" - 300 lb rider with a 4+ swingarm.

I was just out smokin the dirt in Ocotillo Wells last weekend and that sucka carried me across the terrain just fine. Might be overkill for you - but it's also the valving that makes the difference.

Start flappin' with a few of them shops and compare the "tech talk" they give you and what their job includes - you get what you pay for! Instead of a Cheese Enchilada - I added the Crab and Guacamole too!

Well worth the expense for "my application"

Good luck
