My 002 has not broke yet, but I would like to upgrade to an 091 with better gears and a superdiff. Anyone know where to go for the best deal?

Many options in Phoenix.
Mine is from Kevin McMullen.

berg does it by making the pinion shaft longer
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=504197beware the cheap s speed kits they just shave everything down and put a extra gear on. making all the gears thinner

I second Dons bus box. I have one in my car now and am very pleased. His customer service is bar none the best.

Yes, there were some kits out a few years ago, this one was converted. Its been gone though by Kevin McMullin and everything is in top shape.

Thanks for all the sugestions everyone.
I know Gene Berg had made about 100 of those five speed 091 kits. Fifth gear is the same as a four speed and I think I would be shifting more than I need to with the 3.2 . I would also have to use the push button lockout on my Jamar shifter to get up and over reverse for 5th.
I decided to go with a 4.57 R&P , Superdiff, weddle gears, 1st a little higher, 4th .82 . I am not wanting to ride wheelies or be the 1st to the top of the hill. But I do like to take trips to the lake.
I went with AZ Transaxle.

that's an easy fix, pull the brakes and axles, drain an give me a call, I got lots of good used parts, cheap, to get it back going Don
