A buddy from work is looking into a 12V air compressor system that will air up truck, trailer etc tires with out 3 hours to do it all. Does anyone have a system that they like? He is not looking for cheap just looking for a good system.
Thanks Ray.

Try the Extremeaire by outback products. 4CFM. they also have a 24volt that pumps 8cfm.
But for tires, you will end up running the gennie anyway (unless you have a huge bank of batts) so might as well run the 120 volt compressor.

I have this one
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=93186I used it for about a season with no problems... but havent any more since I now have a generator and a "real" compressor... It would air up all four of my 33's from 8-10psi to 50 psi in about 20 minutes.
I still keep it around for backup air since I usually camp at Gordons and have to air down to get into camp.

Go to autozone and buy the mf 1050 tsunami compressor, comes with a bag and hoses and is as good as the $200 ones for 50-75 bucks.

co2 tank cant beat it. airs up tires to 50 in 30 seconds and only way to fill your moho tires up to 100+ psi.

I always bring a CO2 bottle but I am putting air horns on my truck, so I will have a Viair compressor with a 3 gallon tank for the horns. I plan to put a quick disconnect off a tee so I can fill tires.

I have the Masterflow from Costco $65, same as the superflow. Works great, much faster than the pumps in the portable jumpers. It took the Masterflow 15 mins to go from 10-15psi to 50 in my 33X12.50, the other tire had a smaller 110v compressor with a small tank once the tank ran out it was a little slower than the Masterflow. I wouldn't use the Masterflow for every trip to air up too slow for me. But for the occasional use it can't be beat. The Masterflow will go into the buggy for use in the dunes. If you want to move a lot of air fast use CO2 with a hose that has tees for multiple ends for every tire so you can do 2 or 4 tires at once.

IMO if you have to air up fast just go to harbor freight and get a pancake 4 gallon (4.0 scfm at 90psi)for 90 bucks or a 8 gallon 5.6scfm at 90 psi)2.0hp for 100 bucks the 8 gallon fills fast i just bought one to replace my previous pancake one which did well too at worst i can fill trailer and truck from 10-65 in 15 minutes.
the 8 gallon is even faster and a better deal.Heres the one i have now its less than 10 minutes for all truck tires from 10 to 65 psi but you can find them on sale for under a 100

heres the pancake one.It does well but it wont last as long as the 8 gallon one i have now.Mine did 1 and a half seasons but for some reason everyone in my group had to use it to air up too so it went around.but for 90 bucks i got my moneys worth.
